To opt out of Enigma selling or sharing your personal information, email privacy@enigma.com or use its official Do Not Sell page.

Send the request from the email associated with your record when possible.

Ask separately for deletion or correction if that is your goal.

Enigma focuses on business data, but information about business owners and professional contacts can still be personal information.

DecisionCurrent guidance
Official routeEmail privacy@enigma.com; the official rights page also advertises a webform
ScopePersonal information associated with business data, including business-to-business contact information
Matching and verificationEnigma may ask for a request from the email associated with the information or additional matching information. Agents need authority and may require direct consumer verification
ProcessingThe rights page does not promise a fixed completion time. Request an acknowledgement and use the deadline given for your particular request
OutcomeThe opt-out restricts future disclosures treated as sale or sharing under applicable law. It does not automatically delete a business record, undo prior disclosures, or stop service-provider processing

Use Enigma’s Do Not Sell or Share page as the starting point. The instructions and public evidence were checked September 8, 2026. No consumer request was submitted, so this guide reports the documented process rather than a tested removal result.

How to submit your Enigma request

  1. Open Enigma’s official Do Not Sell or Share page and confirm that the request concerns your personal contact information, rather than merely a company’s financial data.
  2. Email privacy@enigma.com with a clear request to opt out of sale and sharing. Include your name, relevant business affiliation, and the email associated with the record. Do not attach unrelated financial or identity documents.
  3. If you also want access, correction, or deletion, say so explicitly. Describe the incorrect field or record when requesting a correction.
  4. Complete any proportionate identity check sent by Enigma. If an agent acts for you, follow the provider’s proof-of-authority and direct-verification requirements.
  5. Save the acknowledgement and ask what was restricted or deleted. Follow up on any unresolved record using the original case details.

Choose the scope before sending personal information

  • Stop future sale or sharing of personal information
  • Request access, correction, or deletion through the policy contact
  • Unsubscribe from Enigma marketing communications separately
  • Describe any agent relationship and supply only necessary proof

Write down the outcome you want before starting. A useful request identifies the relevant record and states whether you want a disclosure stopped, a field corrected, or stored information deleted. If several actions matter, list them separately and ask the provider to confirm the disposition of each one.

Use identifiers tied to the record rather than a large bundle of personal documents. A name alone may match another person, while an unrelated address can confuse the request. Supply the minimum accurate details needed for the particular workflow, then respond to any explained verification step.

What the provider controls

Enigma’s policy distinguishes business data, website activity, user accounts, payment data, and marketing interactions. A request should identify which relationship applies. A company record and an individual’s business email are not the same object, even if they appear together in a product.

The rights page provides an email option alongside an advertised webform. In the September 8 browser check, the explanatory page loaded but the embedded form did not expose usable fields. The email route is therefore the reproducible manual path documented here. No request was submitted.

Enigma says it can continue sharing some information with service providers for operational work, including support and analytics. It also warns that opting out may not affect earlier sales or sharing. Ask a later sender which source it used before assuming the original opt-out failed.

Marketing unsubscribe is another separate action. Use an Enigma email’s unsubscribe link or specify your marketing preference by email. Transactional messages may continue. Deleting a customer account, correcting a professional record, and stopping promotional emails should be tracked as separate requests.

Verification and processing: what to keep

Enigma may ask for a request from the email associated with the information or additional matching information. Agents need authority and may require direct consumer verification.

The rights page does not promise a fixed completion time. Request an acknowledgement and use the deadline given for your particular request.

Retain the submission date, the contact address or form URL, the identifiers used, and any case number. Keep the provider’s acknowledgement separate from its completion response. An automatic email that says a case was received does not establish that the record was removed or that every requested action was accepted.

When the provider asks for more information, check that the message belongs to the case you opened. Ask what is missing and how to supply it securely. Do not repeatedly send unrelated documents to multiple addresses. A precise reply in the existing thread usually makes the record easier to follow.

Reappearance and follow-up checks

A new work address, business role, or source record can need additional matching. Previously disclosed information can remain with an independent recipient.

Recheck the same record or environment first. Compare its identifying details with the request you submitted. A different email, employer, profile URL, or browser preference may explain why the later result is outside the original match. Ask the provider to clarify before describing the entire process as unsuccessful.

A practical privacy log can be brief: provider, relevant record, requested action, submission date, confirmation, and next check. Choose a reminder based on the response you receive. If no completion date is given, ask for one instead of treating a historical average or another provider’s deadline as a promise.

Connect this request to the next useful cleanup

Use the data broker opt-out list to track other providers and the opt-out topic hub to find current instructions. The broader manual data broker removal guide explains how to organize a multi-provider cleanup.

Relevant follow-up workflows are Demandbase opt-out guide, Clearbit opt-out guide, and People Data Labs opt-out guide. Use each only when it matches a separate exposure; one provider’s confirmation does not serve as proof about another database.

For wider exposure checks, run a free broker scan. If recurring follow-up would help, compare the scope and cadence of services in the data removal comparison hub. A scan is a starting point, not proof that every private database was searched.

Enigma opt out FAQ

Will opting out erase my company’s business record?

Do not assume that it will. The published choice concerns personal information and qualifying sale or sharing. Identify the personal fields you want restricted, corrected, or deleted; company-level records can raise a different scope question.

Can I use the email route if the form is blank?

Yes.

Enigma’s official page expressly offers privacy@enigma.com as a request route.

Keep a copy of your message and any acknowledgement.

The blank embedded form observed in our browser check is not evidence that the email process is unavailable.

Can I send from a different email address?

Explain why you cannot use the address associated with the information. Enigma says it may ask for additional information to verify identity. Do not assume a request from an unrelated email will match the right record automatically.

Will this stop every sales call?

No. Enigma says the opt-out may not stop all solicitations or affect information already shared. Another sender may have an independent source. Record the sender and ask for its own suppression or deletion route.

What should I retain after completion?

Keep the request date, identifiers used, stated scope, and completion message. If a later profile contains a different employer or email, refer to the previous case and ask whether the new identifier is covered.

Sources and verification notes

Enigma’s Do Not Sell or Share page and the official privacy policy were checked on September 8, 2026. Screenshots document public instructions only. Request timing, eligibility, exceptions, and identity checks remain subject to the provider’s current process.

These are practical instructions based on the cited provider material, not an individual legal assessment. If a request is denied, keep the reason and consult the relevant regulator’s official guidance for your location. Do not assume that a request available in one jurisdiction has identical terms everywhere.
