To opt out of Instantly's professional-data processing, open its Privacy Center and use the Opt-Out Form to request profile removal and sale-sharing restriction. Provide relevant professional matching details, select your real country and complete the security check. Instantly says it verifies requests and retains limited information to maintain suppression; unsubscribing from one sender's campaign is a separate action.

This Instantly opt out guide follows the public Privacy Center, removal form and privacy policy checked October 9, 2026. We inspected the controls without submitting personal information. No verification email, database deletion, customer-account closure or successful suppression was tested.

Which Instantly privacy action do you need?

The Privacy Center describes two distinct routes: opting out of processing and removing a profile, or requesting access to personal information. Its removal explanation says the provider will remove data after verification and maintain a suppression entry to prevent reintroduction.

That process concerns information in Instantly's own systems. The privacy policy also describes cases where Instantly acts as a service provider for a client. If a business uploaded your details or is sending you a campaign, that business may control its own list and need a separate request.

Use the data broker directory to track the platform request separately from individual senders. A provider and a business using its software can each need to address a different part of the problem.

How do you use the Instantly opt-out form?

Start at the official Privacy Center, then open the linked Opt-Out Form. The page identifies the request as opting out of data processing and removing your profile. It is not the same as subscribing to a product trial or creating a customer account.

  1. Enter the first and last name relevant to the professional record.
  2. Include your company name where it helps matching; the form labels this field optional.
  3. Supply an appropriate email and select your actual country from the form's country control.
  4. Read the warning about professional matching and the combined deletion/sale-sharing affirmation.
  5. Complete the displayed security check and review your information before using Affirm & Submit.
  6. Retain any confirmation and respond to the provider's legitimate verification instructions.

The inspected form displayed first name, last name, optional company, email, country and a security check. We did not complete the check or submit the form, so this guide does not promise a specific confirmation page or message. Follow the current controls when making your own request.

If a security challenge or technical error prevents submission, return to the Privacy Center and use the current policy's contact route for guidance. A blocked or unfinished form should remain marked as pending in your records. Seeing the page alone is not evidence that the provider received anything.

Why does the form ask for professional matching details?

The form warns that it does not store personal email addresses for the records at issue. It says a name and personal email alone may be insufficient to identify whether it processes your data, and asks for a company name or business email to help locate a match.

Treat that as guidance for this professional-profile workflow, not a statement that the entire company can never process a personal email in any other context. Subscriber accounts, support messages and professional-data records are different categories. The relevant question is how to identify the record you want removed.

When you still use the business email

Provide accurate information tied to the record and a contact route you can access. If asked to verify a mailbox, follow the actual instructions rather than assuming the initial form completes verification. Keep the verification exchange with the submission date.

When the record names a former employer

A past company association may help explain the match even if you cannot access its mailbox. Do not claim control of that old account. Describe the situation through the provider's current contact route and ask what alternative verification is available.

When you act for someone else

The form's affirmation allows the individual or an authorized agent. The policy discusses verifying permission and, where appropriate, the individual's identity. Only use the agent route when authority actually exists; the public form inspection did not test what documents a particular request requires.

The general broker-removal guide helps keep matching details, submission and completion evidence organized. This is useful when several old work addresses or employers are involved.

What does deletion plus suppression mean here?

The form's affirmation combines a request to opt out of sale or sharing with deletion from Instantly's databases. It also explains that limited information may be retained to maintain the opt-out and comply with applicable laws. That is consistent with the Privacy Center's stated aim of preventing a profile being reintroduced.

A suppression marker has a different purpose from keeping an unrestricted marketable profile. Ask the final response to clarify what was removed, what remains and how the retained information is used. A limited opt-out identifier can help a provider recognize a record it should not add back later.

The privacy policy further distinguishes some deletion requests from opt-outs and describes applicable exceptions. Do not infer that a single form erases all billing records, security logs, customer-controlled data and historical copies. The useful outcome is a clear explanation tied to the information and rights in your actual request.

If you want access as well, use the separate access route or explicitly ask how to combine the requests. An access report can identify categories and sources without applying the restriction you wanted. Similarly, a removal response should not be treated as proof that every separate access question was answered.

How long does Instantly say the process takes?

The Privacy Center says removal follows verification and happens as soon as reasonably practicable. The privacy policy also says that in most cases an opt-out removes information from active marketing databases within 15 business days of receipt. Keep the qualifiers and database scope attached to that statement.

The 15-business-day language is not a guaranteed deadline for every request, every system or every customer's copy. Verification may be required, and the policy describes situations where information is retained or a request cannot be verified. We did not time a submitted request or test delivery to a privacy inbox.

Record when you submitted the form, any verification completed, and what the reply actually confirms. If the expected response does not arrive, check whether a verification step or matching question is still open before assuming the removal was refused. Follow up with the original reference and relevant professional identifiers.

If the response says there is no match, compare the company and business email with the record that prompted your request. If they differ, explain the discrepancy. A no-match response about one identifier cannot automatically establish the status of every past or future professional identity.

How do you handle campaign senders and future reappearance?

Instantly's policy says that requests concerning client data handled as a service provider should be directed to the particular client. If you are receiving unwanted outreach, ask the sender to stop and address its own contact record. A sender may retain a copy obtained earlier or from a different source.

This does not mean the platform opt-out is pointless. It means two actions can serve different purposes: restricting the provider's professional-data use and stopping a specific business's outreach. Keep the response from each organization instead of treating one acknowledgement as proof about the other.

For other professional-contact databases, the Apollo opt-out guide and Amplemarket removal guide describe separate request channels. These related articles do not establish who supplied your data to a particular sender.

If information appears again after confirmed suppression, retain concrete evidence and compare the identifiers with your earlier request. A new employer or business address may affect matching; an existing client copy may also explain continued contact. Ask Instantly how the suppression applies to the newly observed record rather than assuming the source from the message alone.

The opt-out topic hub helps prioritize further cleanup. A free exposure scan can identify some public listings but cannot inspect every private campaign list or professional database. Keep written privacy responses even when public search results provide no useful way to verify the record.

Frequently asked questions

Can I submit only my personal email address?

The form warns that a name and personal email may not identify the professional data involved. It asks for a company name or business email to help matching. If you lack access to an old work address, explain that through the official process instead of misrepresenting access.

Is the company field mandatory?

The inspected form labels Company Name optional. However, the form's matching warning says a company or business email can be needed to locate professional information. Optional in the interface does not mean irrelevant to locating your record.

Does an unsubscribe link remove my Instantly profile?

Do not assume that. Unsubscribing concerns the sender's communication preference, while the Privacy Center offers the profile-removal and suppression route. If both outcomes matter, handle both and keep separate confirmations.

Why might Instantly retain information after an opt-out?

The form says limited information can remain to maintain the opt-out and comply with applicable laws. Ask what was retained and how it is used. Retaining a suppression marker differs from retaining a profile for unrestricted marketing use.

Is removal guaranteed within 15 business days?

No. The policy's statement is qualified, refers to active marketing databases and sits alongside verification and exception language. The Privacy Center also describes removal after verification as soon as reasonably practicable. No submitted request was timed for this guide.
