To opt out of LeadPost, open its official Privacy Request page and select the deletion and future-collection choices that match your goal. Enter the required matching details, complete the security check, and submit. Keep the receipt and follow any verification instructions. An email unsubscribe alone does not request deletion of the underlying LeadPost record.

We inspected the public policy and request form on October 12, 2026. The form was accessible without buying a service or creating a customer account. We did not submit a person's information or measure removal results.

What does a LeadPost request cover?

LeadPost provides website visitor identification and related marketing services. Its policy describes information from direct interactions, online technologies, public sources, and third-party suppliers. The relevant record may therefore be connected to an email address or postal address rather than a public profile you can search by name.

A request to LeadPost addresses information it controls. A shop that contacted you may maintain a separate customer record, order history, or mailing list. If you want that shop to stop contacting you, send it an appropriate request too. Do not assume one database response changes every recipient's copy.

Deletion and suppression solve different problems.

Deletion concerns information already held. Suppression records an instruction intended to prevent future use or collection. A company may retain limited identifiers to honor that instruction. Ask what was retained and why if the response is unclear.

How to submit the manual request

Official public page inspected October 12, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

Open the official LeadPost request page.

During our check it redirected to app.leadpost.com/OptOut/PrivacyRequest and displayed a combined opt-out and deletion form. Use that route instead of a sales demo or customer registration form.

  • Enter the email address associated with the information you want matched.
  • Fill in your first name, last name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
  • Use Address 2 only when it helps identify the relevant address. The phone field was optional during inspection.
  • Select Delete My Data and Opt Out of Future Data Collection if you want both actions.
  • Complete the displayed security check yourself, then submit and save any confirmation.

At least one rights choice is required. The form also offers access and recipient information; select those only if you want those additional responses. Requesting a copy of your data creates a separate identity-sensitive task and is not a prerequisite for asking for deletion.

Check spelling before submitting. A current email paired with an old postal address may be appropriate if that is the record you are trying to remove. Explain mixed or historical identifiers in a follow-up if necessary. Never enter another household member's information merely because you share an address.

The policy provides privacy@leadpost.com for privacy-office contact and appeals.

The form separately lists support@leadpost.com for technical issues. When reporting a form error, state the failing step and time. Avoid attaching identity documents or a complete browsing history to a technical-support message.

What verification and timing should you expect?

LeadPost's privacy policy describes several possible verification methods, including email or phone confirmation and matching existing records. It says deletion and access can require stronger verification. That does not establish that every request receives every kind of check.

Monitor the inbox you supplied, including spam folders. Before using a verification link, check that the message relates to the request you initiated. If a reply asks for more information, ask which identifier failed to match and whether a less sensitive alternative is available.

The policy describes state-dependent response periods and extensions. Its Minnesota section specifies an initial 45-day response period with a possible additional 45 days and notice. These are published policy terms for that context, not a measured completion time for every LeadPost user.

Save the submission date and any deadline in the acknowledgment. If no acknowledgment arrives, first establish that the form accepted the request. A screenshot taken before clicking Submit proves what you intended to send, but it does not prove delivery or completed deletion.

Keep three events separate in your notes: submitted, verified, and answered. This avoids treating an automated receipt as a final decision. If you receive a denial, ask for the reason and the applicable appeal procedure rather than repeatedly opening identical requests.

If the form fails or the record comes back

A security challenge may fail because a browser extension blocks a required script. You can try a fresh browser session or allow the necessary script for this page, then restore your usual settings. You do not need to disable protections across every website.

For a persistent error, use the technical support address displayed on the form and copy the visible error text. Do not claim you submitted successfully when the page never confirmed acceptance. The privacy office can clarify the appropriate rights route if technical support cannot establish receipt.

Reappearance can have several explanations: a separate identifier, a new source record, a recipient's independent database, or an incomplete match. These possibilities do not prove LeadPost ignored a valid request. Compare the new evidence with the earlier response and ask the company to reconcile it.

Our guide to removing yourself from data brokers explains how to keep a request log across companies. Record the exact identifier and scope for each request so that an old work email does not get confused with a current personal email.

What should you do about other marketing databases?

A merchant email can continue because you previously subscribed or made a purchase. Use that merchant's unsubscribe tool for its communications while keeping the LeadPost database request separate. A stop-message confirmation and a data-deletion response answer different questions.

If your investigation identifies another visitor-identification service, use its own workflow. The Opensend removal guide explains client-controlled records, and the Retention.com opt-out guide covers a related marketing-data path. Their instructions should not be substituted for LeadPost's form.

For further targets, keep the opt-out guide hub alongside the data broker opt-out directory. Prioritize companies supported by evidence rather than assuming every listed provider has your information.

You can also run a free data broker scan to look for supported public exposures. A scan does not establish whether a private marketing database holds a record, and this guide does not promise that a paid service can complete every LeadPost task on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a LeadPost customer account?

The public form loaded without a customer login during our check. Customer account closure is a different task from a consumer request. If you are also a paying customer, ask how billing and transaction records will be handled.

Should I select both deletion and future collection?

Select both when you want existing data removed and future collection restricted. Read the company's response to confirm which actions were completed. Do not infer that checking one box automatically selected another right.

Can I remove another person's data?

Use an authorized-agent route only when you have the person's permission and meet the provider's documentation requirements. LeadPost's policy describes authorization checks. Sharing a surname or address does not itself establish authority.

Why might a limited record remain?

Suppression, fraud prevention, or legal retention can differ from an active marketing profile. Ask the company to identify the category, purpose, and applicable retention period. A limited retained record does not by itself show that advertising use continues.

Does deletion stop every unwanted email?

No. Senders may use other suppliers or their own subscriber lists. Preserve the sender and source details of later messages, then address the company actually responsible for that new contact.
