Prospeo Opt Out: Remove Your Business Contact Profile

Use Prospeo’s opt-out form or privacy email to remove your business profile. Learn about work-email verification, suppression, and exported copies.

Prospeo work-email opt-out form on October 4, 2026

To opt out of Prospeo, open prospeo.io/optout and submit the work email associated with your business profile. The form also offers optional phone and social-profile fields.

If you cannot use that route, its privacy policy authorizes email requests to privacy@prospeo.io. Prospeo says it removes the profile from its active dataset after verification and keeps suppression information to prevent re-addition.

We inspected the form on October 4, 2026. The correct current path is /optout, without a hyphen. A visit to /opt-out led to the marketing homepage during our check, so use the direct intake linked below rather than assuming any similarly named route is the form.

Use the official Prospeo opt-out form. For other companies, consult the opt-out guides hub and keep separate request records.

Step 1: Confirm that you are requesting dataset removal

Prospeo's privacy policy identifies Defastra Tech Inc., doing business as Prospeo. It covers both service accounts and the provider's B2B dataset. The opt-out here concerns the business profile made available through that dataset.

If you are a paying customer who also wants to close an account, explain both goals. The policy distinguishes uploaded account files from underlying professional data contributed to the dataset. Closing the account should not be treated as a substitute for a person's dataset opt-out.

Step 2: Enter the email associated with your record

The form labels Work email as required. Use the relevant professional address rather than an unrelated inbox simply because it is easier to access. Add a phone number or social URL when it helps identify the record at issue.

For an obsolete work address, use the privacy email to explain that you no longer have access. Ask what alternative verification Prospeo accepts. The policy says it typically verifies through business email and may request more information, but it does not promise that every alternative identifier is sufficient.

Keep the request narrowly scoped. You do not need to volunteer private family details or a full employment history to explain one outdated contact profile.

Step 3: Submit and follow the verification instructions

Review the identifiers, then use “Submit Opt-Out Request.” Complete any security check presented by the live page. Our inspection stopped before submission, so we did not receive a verification message or test a success screen.

Monitor the relevant inbox and spam folder. The privacy policy says active-dataset removal follows verification. A submitted form should therefore not be recorded as completed deletion until Prospeo confirms the action.

If the browser form fails, contact privacy@prospeo.io using the route authorized in the policy. State that you want to opt out of the dataset and list the identifiers to match. Save the message date and any response.

Step 4: Ask what was removed and what remains

A useful completion response should distinguish the active profile from retained suppression information. The form describes storing submitted information in a hashed form to remember the opt-out. The policy separately explains that a suppression record helps prevent re-addition.

These statements describe the provider's process; we have not audited its storage implementation. Ask Prospeo to explain the retained scope if the final response is unclear. Do not assume “removed” means every operational or suppression record has been erased.

If the same profile appears again, provide the original request reference and the identifier involved. A change in employer, address, or phone may need a matching update even if an earlier record was handled correctly.

How long should the request take?

Prospeo's policy says it aims to respond within one month, with extensions where allowed for complex requests. That is a response aim, not a promise of a tested completion date for every opt-out.

Record when you submitted and when verification finished. If the stated response window passes, follow up in the original thread and ask whether the request is complete, extended, or waiting for information.

The general broker-removal guide helps organize that record across providers. Keep receipt, verification, and final action as different milestones.

Why does deleting an account leave a separate data question?

The policy describes customer uploads and underlying professional information as different categories. It says account data and files can follow account-closure retention rules while professional data and verification signals follow the dataset policy.

For a person whose contact information appears in the dataset, explicitly request dataset removal or opt-out. For a customer closing an account, ask about both account files and any professional record relating to you. These are scope questions, not a reason to create a new paid account.

Will this stop all business outreach?

Prospeo states that its customers act independently when they contact prospects. A provider opt-out does not establish that a customer has deleted an earlier export or stopped using another data source.

Ask continuing senders to stop and identify the source they used. If evidence points elsewhere, the Apollo opt-out guide and RocketReach removal guide cover separate processes. Neither is a claim that those providers supplied your details.

You can run a free data broker scan for broader exposure and keep the broker opt-out directory alongside your request log. A scan is not proof that Prospeo has completed your request.

Keep the request evidence organized around the identifiers:

  • Save the work email, phone, and social URL you actually supplied rather than relying on a note that says only “opted out.”
  • Keep submission and verification dates separate, because the policy describes removal after verification.
  • Save any response explaining that a record was removed, could not be matched, or requires more information.
  • If you had a customer account, note separately whether you also requested account closure and asked about contributed professional data.
  • If a sender continues contacting you, retain its explanation of the source and the date it obtained your details.

Suppose a record uses an earlier employer address but you submit only your current address. A no-match response would not resolve the earlier record by itself. Describe the relevant old identifier to the privacy team and ask what verification it needs; do not guess that another person's access can stand in for yours.

If a final response discusses a suppression record, ask which identifiers it covers. That is more useful than assuming one opt-out automatically covers future employers, phone numbers, or newly created profiles. You can then use the saved response if the same identifier later appears again.

The request log is your evidence of the process you followed. It is not independent proof that all customer exports or other providers' records have been removed.

Frequently asked questions

Is /opt-out the right address?

The form we verified is at /optout. The hyphenated path opened marketing content during our check. Start from the official form link in this guide.

Must I give a phone number?

The form labels Phone number optional. Add it when you want that identifier matched, rather than treating it as a universal requirement.

What if my work inbox no longer exists?

Email the published privacy contact, identify the former address, and ask about alternative verification. Do not assume verification can be bypassed.

Does the retained hash mean my profile is still sold?

The form describes that record as a way to remember the opt-out, separate from the active profile. Ask the provider to clarify its implementation rather than inferring the result from the word “retained.”

Is the one-month response aim a guaranteed removal result?

No. It is the policy's response language, with possible extensions for complex cases. We did not submit a request or measure a removal outcome.
