To remove information from tellows, choose the route that matches the record: request removal of specific comments through its support form, delete your own account through the member area, or edit an eligible business entry. These actions have different scopes. A request about one comment does not automatically erase a phone-number page or other people's ratings.

This tellows opt-out guide was checked against the public support form, privacy policy, and terms on October 15, 2026. We inspected the conditional form without submitting anyone's details. Start by identifying the exact content you want changed; the broader phone-number removal guide can help you separate tellows from other sources.

Choose the correct tellows removal route

Tellows combines phone-number information, community comments, ratings, and business entries. It also has accounts used to contribute content. These are separate objects, so “delete my number” may not tell the support team which action you need.

Save the number-page URL and the date or time of each problematic comment. If several comments reveal different personal details, list them individually. Tellows says it needs a reason for each removal request and does not remove content merely because someone dislikes a rating.

How to request comment removal

Official public page checked October 15, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

Open the official tellows support page. Its first menu asks for the problem or request. The live form we inspected exposes a branch specifically for changes to entries or comments.

1. Select the comment branch

Choose “Change / Remove Entries or Comments,” then “Comments.” Read the explanations offered for that topic. If they do not resolve the issue, choose “No” under “Problem solved?” to reveal the contact fields.

The visible form asks for your name and email, a contact reason, the relevant phone number or link, and removal reasons. Its removal-reason field asks for the date or time of the comments and an explanation for each. Do not submit a general complaint if you can identify the exact material.

2. Explain the specific concern

Describe what is inaccurate, private, or otherwise problematic in each comment. Keep the explanation factual. If the issue is an exposed home address, point to that passage rather than reposting the address in another public comment.

You can request review without claiming that every negative opinion must disappear. Tellows' terms of use distinguish registered-user comments from unregistered comments and describe a review process. This guide summarizes the provider's process; it does not decide whether a particular statement violates a right.

3. Review, submit, and retain the response

Check the form's privacy acknowledgment and any verification controls before submitting your own request. Save any confirmation and keep the email thread. We did not submit the form, so we cannot report a delivery receipt or measured processing result.

  • Use the country prefix so the number is unambiguous.
  • Include the exact number-page link when available.
  • Identify each comment by its displayed date or time.
  • Give one clear removal reason for each comment.
  • Keep your contact details in the private form, not a public reply.

Account deletion and business-entry removal

The tellows privacy policy describes an account route through the member area. Sign in, open Settings, and use “Delete data and account” to remove your account and ratings you created. These instructions come from the published policy; we did not enter a private account to perform them.

The support page also offers account-removal help. It asks for the email used to register and the platform concerned, such as the website or shop. State which account you mean. Removing a community account does not establish that a separate shop record or subscription was also canceled.

For business entries, the support page describes a pencil icon in the number-detail box. Eligible entries expose a removal checkbox and CAPTCHA before saving. A premium or partner-managed entry may be locked, and the page should explain which type it is.

Tellows directs premium-entry changes to its support team and partner-entry changes to the partner. The source matters: its guidance says partner data can be uploaded again if it remains in that partner's database. Do not treat the visible tellows edit as proof that the upstream source was corrected.

Timing, verification, and unresolved requests

There is no single verified completion time for all tellows removal requests. The policy describes a 48-hour opportunity for a registered commenter to respond to a deletion request. That is part of its comment-review process, not a universal promise that every request finishes within 48 hours.

The support page says an eligible business-entry removal can take effect on tellows immediately, while search-engine caches may take weeks to reflect the change. Check the actual source page before judging an old search snippet. Our Google information-removal guide explains why source changes and search-result changes are separate.

If the support form does not resolve a personal-data issue, the policy lists datenschutz@tellows.de as the privacy contact. Include the earlier request reference and ask which records remain. Avoid sending unrelated identity documents unless the provider explains a necessary verification step through an official channel.

The policy's simpler spam-button wording and the terms' review wording are not identical. Follow the current page and the more specific instructions for the comment type. A button labeled as a report control should not be described as guaranteed instant deletion of all associated data.

What can reappear, and what remains separate?

New community contributions can create a different issue from the original comment. A partner can also supply an unchanged business record again. Monitor the exact number page after a response and note whether you are seeing the same material, new content, or cached information.

The sources checked do not establish a universal reappearance rate. They do establish why upstream business data matters. If a partner is named, keep a separate record of your request to that provider rather than assuming tellows can permanently change its source database.

Other caller-information sites require their own requests. CallerSmart's process is one example of a separate service-specific workflow. Use the opt-out guide hub to find the relevant provider instead of sending the same vague request everywhere.

For people-search exposure beyond caller comments, run a free data broker scan. A scan does not prove tellows comments are covered or removed. If you need a broader removal routine, the data-broker removal guide explains how to organize manual and recurring work.

Frequently asked questions

Will deleting my account delete other people's comments?

The account route concerns your account and ratings you created. Other people's comments need their own review requests. Identify them separately instead of assuming an account action changes the whole number page.

Can I remove a comment without creating an account?

The public support form can be opened without signing in. The terms also describe a report control for unregistered comments. Follow the route shown for the specific content; a request still needs a meaningful explanation.

What if the number belongs to a business?

Check whether the issue is the business entry or a community comment. Editable listings have one route; locked partner entries and disputed comments have others. A business name appearing on a page does not make those processes interchangeable.

Why is the old information still on Google?

Tellows says cached business information can remain in search engines after a source update. First verify whether the tellows page changed. If it did, address the stale search result separately instead of repeating an already completed source request.

Sources and verification scope

Official support, terms, and privacy pages were checked October 15, 2026. Public form selections were inspected through the comment-removal branch, and a real screenshot records the visible fields. No comment was reported, no account was deleted, and no business record was altered. Processing descriptions are attributed to tellows rather than presented as measured results.
