Versium Opt Out: Email Removal and Data-Sharing Choices

Use Versium’s official email opt-out route, understand matching and verification, and distinguish database removal from marketing unsubscribes.

To opt out of Versium, use its official opt-out page or email optout@versium.com. The page explicitly offers email if its form fails.

Versium's privacy policy asks email requesters for their email address, full name, street address, date of birth and phone number. State that you want your data removed from its customer-facing data services and excluded from future sharing. Keep the sent request and wait for a response rather than assuming that delivery means removal.

Last checked October 3, 2026. We inspected Versium's public opt-out and privacy pages without sending a consumer request. The opt-out page loaded, but its embedded request fields did not appear in our browser. This guide therefore documents the published email alternative and does not describe unseen form controls.

Which Versium privacy choice do you need?

Versium supplies data and analytics for business uses such as marketing, research and validation. Its current policy identifies the operator as Versar Data Solutions Inc., doing business under Versar, Versium Analytics and Datafinder. Those names help you recognize the policy; they are not separate requests you must automatically send to three businesses.

An opt-out is different from leaving a mailing list. The official opt-out page says the company will stop collecting associated data and stop providing your contact information to others. Its marketing-unsubscribe section concerns messages sent by Versium itself. Describe the broader data request explicitly if customer data services are your concern.

Your objectiveOfficial starting routeImportant distinction
Stop sharing through Versium data servicesOpt-out page or optout@versium.comUse the privacy request route, not a newsletter preference alone
Request deletion or access under applicable rightsState privacy notice and privacy@versium.comScope and verification depend on the request
Stop Versium promotional emailsMessage unsubscribe control or the policy's unsubscribe instructionsDoes not prove customer-facing data was removed
Reduce browser advertisingBrowser and advertising preferencesDoes not identify every name-and-address record

For other companies that may hold similar records, use the data broker opt-out directory. A directory entry identifies another request path; it does not establish that the company actually holds your data.

How to submit the verified email request

Start at the official Versium opt-out page. Check whether the form renders for you.

If it does not, the page itself directs users to optout@versium.com. You do not need to purchase a business subscription to read or use that published route.

Prepare the matching details identified in the privacy policy. Review the address and spelling carefully, especially if you have moved or changed your name. A vague message asking to remove “everything online” gives the recipient little information about the particular records or service you mean.

  • Use a subject such as “Versium privacy opt-out and deletion request.”
  • Identify yourself using the information the current official policy requests.
  • State that your request concerns Versium's data products and sharing with customers.
  • Ask for confirmation of the action taken and any information retained to honor your request.
  • Save the sent message, date and any case reference in a private record.

You can write in your own words: “Please opt me out of your data services and future sharing of my personal information. Please also process deletion where applicable and confirm the scope of the completed action.” Add the requested identifiers separately. This wording is a practical request description, not a promise that every category must be erased.

Do not send information to an address copied from an unsolicited reply without checking it against the official site. If additional proof is requested, ask why it is needed and whether a secure verification route is available. Never send passwords or unrelated account credentials as part of a broker opt-out.

What happens after you send it?

Versium's California notice describes verification for consumer rights requests. It may need enough information to establish that the records concern you or that you are authorized to act for someone else. Access to a record and stopping future sharing are different actions; do not assume every request has identical verification requirements.

The California privacy notice publishes historical request metrics and says Versium treats deletion and opt-out requests alike in that reporting. Its reported average for 2025 was under ten days. That is a provider-reported historical average, not a deadline or a measurement of your request. The live opt-out page gives no promised personal completion date.

If you receive an acknowledgment, read whether it confirms receipt, requests more information, or confirms the completed action. Save these stages separately. A request sitting in your sent folder has not been independently verified as accepted or completed.

A useful follow-up includes the original date, reference number and the exact action still awaiting confirmation. Avoid repeatedly sending the same sensitive details in new threads. If there is no reply, return to the state notice for its current privacy contact and explain that the published opt-out route has not produced a response.

What removal does and does not change

A Versium request is directed to Versium. The privacy policy distinguishes its practices from the practices of customers and third parties. A recipient that already obtained data may have its own processing and request route. Ask Versium what it has done about previously supplied information instead of assuming every downstream copy disappears at once.

Likewise, deleting a broker record does not erase an underlying public record or every source that could supply a new address. If similar information appears at another provider, handle it through that provider's process. Our Acxiom opt-out guide and Data Axle removal guide explain two separate marketing-data workflows without implying shared ownership.

Keep enough information to distinguish a recurring record from a request that was never matched. Record the old spelling or address, the date of confirmation and the later evidence. If you move, ask whether your existing preference covers the new address. This is a monitoring precaution, not evidence that Versium ignores completed requests.

For a broader sequence, the guide to removing yourself from data brokers explains how to track separate providers. Do not interpret fewer marketing messages as proof that every database is clear; delivery patterns can change for other reasons.

Build a manageable privacy follow-up

Start with the exposed information that matters most to you: an address, phone number or professional contact record. Separate “request sent,” “verification needed” and “completed” in your notes. This keeps an unanswered email from becoming an assumed success and makes later follow-up much easier.

Use the opt-out guides hub to find other verified procedures. If you want a broader view of people-search exposure, run a free data broker scan. A scan is a starting point for covered sources, not a certification that Versium or every private marketing database holds nothing about you.

Automated help can reduce repetitive work, but provider-specific scope still matters. Check whether a service supports the particular company and whether you must complete any verification yourself. A public source inspection, including ours, does not demonstrate a completed consumer removal.

Frequently asked questions

Is the opt-out page only for California residents?

The page lists several state-law routes, while Versium's general policy says individual consumer and business visitors can opt out. Use the current policy for your circumstances rather than assuming the URL's “CCPA” wording excludes everyone else.

Why does the guide use email instead of screenshots of a form?

The official page expressly permits email when the form causes trouble. The fields did not render during our check. The evidence shows the real fallback instructions, not a reconstructed or guessed form.

Should I ask for access before deletion?

Only if you want to inspect what is held. Access can involve a different verification burden. You can explain your deletion and sharing preference without requesting a copy merely to satisfy an imagined preliminary step.

Does replying STOP to a text remove the data record?

Versium's policy describes STOP for its SMS messages. That controls messaging, not necessarily the wider data-service record. Use the privacy opt-out route for that separate objective.

Can someone submit the request for me?

The state notice describes authorized-agent requests and may require proof of authority. Do not impersonate another person or assume an ordinary email establishes permission to act for them.

Sources and verification scope

Sources checked October 3, 2026: Versium's official opt-out page, general privacy policy and California privacy notice linked above. We verified public instructions and captured the fallback route. No request, identity verification, phone call or removal outcome was tested. Provider processing statements remain attributed to the provider; this guide is practical information rather than individual legal guidance.
