Altair Data Resources Opt Out: Form and Deletion Steps

To opt out of Altair Data Resources, open its Consumer Info page and follow the link to the consumer help center. Choose the Individual: Opt-Out/Deletion Request Form if you are acting for yourself. The form lets you select sale, sharing, sensitive-information and deletion preferences. Authorized agents and automated submissions have separate routes; they should not use the individual declaration.

We inspected the public portal and individual form on September 22, 2026 without submitting personal information. This guide covers Altair’s consumer marketing-data process. It does not treat that process as a universal opt-out from credit prescreening, every lender or all direct mail.

Altair’s page explains how consumers can manage information used in direct marketing. Its access process concerns a marketing-data summary and information shared with clients. That is different from removing a visible people-search listing or changing a credit report.

How to complete the individual Altair form

Step 1: Follow the official consumer link

Open Altair’s Consumer Info page and select its online request link. The current destination is an Atlassian-hosted consumer portal. It displays Altair’s help-center identity and several request types.

Select Individual: Opt-Out/Deletion Request Form for your own request. The portal also includes correction and access forms. Use those if you need a data report or correction rather than assuming that every portal option performs the same action.

Step 2: Enter the required matching details

The inspected individual form marks email confirmation, full name, first name, last name, street address, city, state and ZIP/postal code as required. Enter the relevant information consistently. An address typo can make it harder to match a household record.

The form’s email label establishes where confirmations should be sent; it does not prove the exact verification messages that follow submission. Use an address you control and keep any subsequent request for confirmation. Do not include unrelated payment information or a Social Security number when the observed fields do not ask for it.

Step 3: Select the preferences you actually want

The current form offers choices for opting out of sale, information sharing, use of sensitive personal information and postal mail to deceased persons, plus deletion of consumer information. Read each choice rather than assuming one checkbox covers every action.

Deletion and future-use preferences can address different concerns. Clearly select the applicable actions the interface allows. If you are acting for a deceased person or someone else, check the appropriate representative route and authority requirements before agreeing to a declaration about acting for yourself.

Step 4: Read the individual declarations

The form asks you to affirm that you are the identified individual and are not acting as an authorized agent. It separately says the form is for manual individual submissions. The portal directs agents to the agent form and automated or high-volume requests to its automation process.

Do not misstate your role to complete the form. A removal service or other representative should follow the authorized route. We inspected the page only and did not interact with a challenge or submit a test request.

• Save the date and preferences selected.
• Keep any ticket or confirmation number received.
• Record the address and email used, in a private place.
• Follow up through the same case if matching or verification is incomplete.

Postal requests and verification

If the online form does not work for you, Altair’s consumer policy provides a postal alternative: Altair Data Resources, 1749 Mallory Lane, Ste 201, Brentwood, TN 37027. Recheck the official page before mailing because contact details can change.

The policy asks for your full name, address and relevant details that help process the request. State whether you want deletion, sale opt-out, sharing limits, access or correction. Keep a copy of the letter and evidence of delivery if you choose a tracked mailing method.

Altair says identity verification is necessary for access requests and describes written authorization for agents. Its correction section gives a 45-day processing statement, or sooner when legally required. That section-specific wording should not be turned into an independently verified deadline for every possible request.

For a deletion or opt-out case, ask the company to confirm receipt, any verification needed and the expected completion date. A ticket appearing in a portal proves that the case exists, not that all requested actions are complete. An access report and a deletion confirmation also represent different outcomes.

What this request does not automatically cover

Altair’s consumer page distinguishes marketing-data preferences from other data uses. An opt-out directed to Altair does not by itself update every lender, retailer or independent database. Credit prescreening has its own scope and process; do not assume a marketing portal submission changes all prescreened credit offers.

If you want a particular sender to stop mailing you, contact that sender too. Existing campaign queues, different address formats or independently obtained data can explain later mail. Keep the envelope and compare the sender and date before deciding which organization needs a follow-up.

Altair states that verifiable deletion affects the consumer information associated with the request. This article does not independently verify its backend behavior or guarantee that all earlier recipients erase their copies. Ask what records and future processing the response covers, and retain its wording for reference.

Frequently asked questions

Is the automation form intended for an ordinary consumer?

The portal separates automated or high-volume requests from manual individual requests. If you are submitting for yourself by hand, the individual form is the relevant starting point. An agent should not affirm the individual-only declaration on your behalf.

Why are both full name and first/last name requested?

Those are separate required fields in the form observed during this check. Complete them consistently. Their presence does not prove that extra identity documents are required, and the article does not recommend sending documents that the form has not requested.

Can I request access before deciding on deletion?

The portal has a separate access request option. That can help clarify what information the provider associates with you, subject to verification. An access request does not automatically opt you out of sale or delete the records it describes.

Does one request remove an entire household?

The inspected individual form does not establish automatic household-wide coverage. It asks for the identified individual’s details and declaration. Ask how other adults or address variants are handled instead of assuming your request authorizes changes for everyone.

How can I check publicly visible information?
