Common Room Opt Out: Prospector Privacy Request Guide
Opt out of Common Room’s Prospector database using its public form. Check email matching, separate deletion requests, verification and follow-up.

To opt out of Common Room's Prospector database, use its “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” form at app.commonroom.io/remove-my-info. It displays first name, last name, email, country and phone fields; email is marked required.
The form requests an opt-out from sale of information in Common Room's database. For deletion, access, correction or a different data issue, contact support@commonroom.io and state the additional right you want to exercise.
We checked the privacy notice and public form on November 7, 2026. No personal information was entered and no request was submitted. This is a guide to the observed route, not a test of completed removal.
Prospector business-contact information, data handled for a customer, account information and website cookie preferences can involve different processes. Identify the dataset before interpreting a response.
Which Common Room information are you addressing?

| Data or concern | Starting point | Scope to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| Prospector professional contact information | The remove-my-info form | Sale opt-out from the database |
| A broader deletion or access request | Privacy contact in the notice | Relevant information, verification and exceptions |
| Information in a customer's workspace | Identify the customer and processing context | Which organization controls the request |
| Website advertising cookies | Cookie preferences and privacy contact | Browser-level sharing versus database records |
Common Room describes Prospector as a prospecting and enrichment service that makes business-contact information available to customers. Its notice says this can be a sale of personal information under applicable privacy laws. This does not mean every use of its software or every community record is the same database.
The official privacy notice links directly to the sale opt-out form. Follow that link if you want to verify the destination. A prospecting product name is not a reason to create an account or buy access to locate yourself. Use the documented consumer route first.
How to use the Prospector opt-out form
1. Open the official removal page
Visit the Common Room request form. Its heading is “Do Not Sell My Personal Information,” followed by an explanation that it requests an opt-out from sale of personal information from Common Room's database. The page also links back to the privacy notice.
Check the destination before entering details. Do not use a sales demo form or a third-party page that asks you to pay to reach this request. If the app page fails to load, return to the policy and use its support contact to explain the problem.
2. Enter information associated with the record
The inspected form displayed First name, Last name, Email, Country and Phone number. Email was visibly marked required. Use the contact details associated with the business record you want the company to match, and select your actual country. The presence of a country in a menu does not establish that every legal right is identical in every jurisdiction.
If a record uses an old employer email you cannot access, do not invent access to it. Explain the issue to the privacy contact and ask how to verify the connection. Supplying a new email without explaining the older identifier may leave the company unable to find the record you mean.
3. Submit your request and track the response
Review the information and submit only your own request or one you are authorized to make. Keep whatever confirmation the live form provides. Our inspection did not proceed past submission, so we cannot describe a verified success message, email sequence or completion time.
- Record the submission date and the identifier supplied.
- Keep any acknowledgment or request reference.
- Check the reply inbox for verification instructions.
- Ask whether the final response concerns sale opt-out, deletion or both.
- Keep broader requests separate if they need a different process.
For other controllers, use the opt-out guide hub. The ZoomInfo guide covers a different business-contact database; the similar name of a product or company does not make that a shared request route.
Ask separately about deletion and other rights
The form's explicit label is a sale opt-out. It should not be described as proof that all personal information, account history or customer-held data has been erased. If deletion is your goal, say so in a message to the privacy contact and specify the information concerned.
A useful message explains that you are requesting deletion of eligible personal information associated with a named email or other identifier, as well as any applicable sale restriction. Ask whether the Prospector form is sufficient for that scope or whether another verified request is needed. Keep the request factual and limited to data relating to you.
Common Room's notice says it will take steps to verify identity before fulfilling requests. Its California section gives confirmation of an associated email as an example of information that may be used. That is not a promise that every request uses the same verification method or that possession of one email resolves every dataset.
If you use an authorized agent, ask about the evidence of authority and any direct confirmation required. The identity-verification guide explains questions about proportionate matching and document retention. Do not send government identification or unrelated sensitive records unless a verified channel explains why they are necessary.
Timing, failed forms and unclear responses
The inspected notice says requests are processed in accordance with applicable laws. The public form did not supply a specific completion promise we could verify. Ask for the expected timeline and save the company's answer rather than relying on a third-party estimate presented as an assurance.
A form error is not an accepted request. If the page will not load or you receive no acknowledgment, use support@commonroom.io from the official notice.
Explain the date, the route and the action you attempted. Include only the matching information needed to identify the request; avoid repeatedly circulating a full personal dossier.
If the reply says “completed,” ask what that means when the scope is unclear. Sale opt-out, deletion, correction and a record that could not be found are different outcomes. If the company cannot match you, check whether the record used an older work email, phone number or name variation.
Where information was processed for another organization, ask who controls the decision and which request route applies. Do not assume that Common Room can independently delete every record in a customer's systems. This guide describes a public workflow rather than assessing a specific organization's legal obligations.
What can remain or appear again?
A restriction at one database does not erase contact details already held independently by other businesses. A sales team may have obtained information elsewhere or saved a copy before a restriction. If that team continues contacting you, ask it about its own source, retention and communication preferences.
The notice distinguishes Prospector sales from website advertising-cookie sharing. Changing cookie settings is useful for the browser context, but it is not evidence that a business-contact record has been matched and restricted. Likewise, a Prospector response does not automatically remove material you posted publicly in a community.
New professional details, another email or newly available source information can change what is discoverable. Keep the initial response and revisit the issue if a later record appears. Ask whether it is the same identifier, a new record or an independent customer copy before deciding what follow-up is needed.
The Apollo guide and Clearbit guide explain separate business-data requests. You can also run a free data broker scan to check supported exposures. A scan is a discovery tool, not proof that Common Room has a record or that this exact provider is covered by a paid subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Is Prospector the same as a Common Room account?
Prospector is described as a prospecting and enrichment offering. The privacy notice also covers other service and account contexts. Tell the privacy contact which information you mean rather than assuming that closing an account removes every database record.
Does the form require a paid account?
The public form we inspected was accessible without account login or payment. It displayed contact and country fields. We did not submit it, so this observation does not establish every step that may follow a request.
Can I use a personal email for a former work record?
Explain both the record identifier and the reply address through the privacy contact if necessary. A different email may not match the old record by itself. Ask for a verification alternative if you no longer control the former work address.
Will Common Room stop all sales calls after I opt out?
That cannot be inferred from this request. Independent callers may use other sources or already hold information. Ask each sender or caller for its own privacy and marketing preferences, and keep those responses separate from Common Room's database action.
