Definitive Healthcare Opt Out: Request and Removal Steps
Use Definitive Healthcare’s privacy portal to request opt-out, deletion or correction. Check country settings, verification and profile scope.

To opt out of Definitive Healthcare, open its Privacy Request Center, confirm your country of residence and choose an Opt Out Request for sale or sharing. Choose a Deletion Request if you also want personal information deleted. The official US supplement separates these database requests from browser cookie preferences and lists 1-866-679-6461 as an alternative contact.
We checked the official Privacy Center, US supplemental notice and public request portal on October 24, 2026. The portal loaded and displayed distinct request types. Its opt-out form showed identity, relationship and comment fields. We did not submit personal data or a request, so this guide does not claim a completed removal or tested processing time.
Choose the right request for your healthcare profile
Definitive Healthcare provides healthcare market information and related products. Its privacy center links to notices covering different relationships and services, including employees and job applicants. Start with the record that concerns you: a professional profile, a product interaction, website tracking, or employment information. Those are not interchangeable privacy requests.
The public portal offers access, transfer, deletion, correction, objection to processing, and opt-out requests. Access helps you understand the record; deletion asks to remove information; an opt-out addresses sale or sharing. Asking for one should not be treated as proof that every other action has occurred. State multiple goals explicitly when that reflects what you want.
| Goal | Portal option or route | Follow-up question |
|---|---|---|
| Stop sale or sharing | Opt Out Request | What information and recipients does this cover? |
| Delete personal information | Deletion Request | What was removed and what was retained? |
| Fix an inaccurate profile | Update Inaccuracies Request | Was the specific field corrected? |
| Inspect the data held | Access Request | Which systems and categories are included? |
| Adjust browser tracking | Website privacy or cookie choices | Does a separate database request remain necessary? |
The opt-out guide hub tracks independent providers. Keep one record per company rather than assuming a request to a healthcare data supplier removes every professional directory entry.
Open the official portal and confirm your location

Visit the Definitive Healthcare Privacy Center and follow its information-removal or preference link. During our check, the older /privacy entry redirected to the current Privacy Request Center. Using the provider's own link is preferable to relying on a saved third-party form address.
Check the country before choosing a request
The portal asks for country of residence. Some routes detected Germany in our browsing environment. That is an observation about the page we saw, not a recommendation to select Germany. Confirm your actual location because the choices and explanations can depend on it.
A forwarded URL can contain location information. If the displayed country is wrong, return to the center and correct it before continuing. Do not copy another person's location-specific request link and assume it represents your rights. The guide intentionally links to the general center rather than a region-coded form from our inspection.
Choose opt-out or deletion deliberately
Select Opt Out Request for sale or sharing, or Deletion Request for deletion. The center also provides separate access and correction routes. Its descriptions are the provider's statements of request scope; they do not independently prove that all systems have completed the requested action.
On the opt-out page we observed, the form asked whether the request was for yourself or someone else as an authorized agent. It displayed first name, last name, email, relationship with Definitive Healthcare and additional comments. Some fields were marked optional in that regional view. The current page for your location should determine which fields you must complete.
Review the record details before submission
Use the comments to identify the relevant profile, product or old business contact if needed. Avoid unrelated sensitive information; the form itself asks users not to include it. A professional profile URL or a short explanation of the inaccurate field is more useful than an unstructured collection of private documents.
- Confirm your country and the request type.
- Choose the correct self or authorized-agent option.
- Use an email address you can monitor for replies.
- Identify the profile or product without adding unrelated private records.
- Save the request details and any reference actually returned.
The observed form includes a Review Request step. We stopped before submission and cannot describe a completed confirmation screen or email sequence. Follow the actual prompts you receive rather than assuming a specific verification link will always arrive.
Handle verification and product scope
The US supplemental notice explains that requests may require sufficient information to verify identity and authority. It describes additional requirements for authorized agents. If you are acting for another adult, use that process and retain their authorization; knowing their name and employer is not enough.
If a confirmation asks for more information, connect it to your original request before responding. Ask why a document or identifier is necessary if the purpose is unclear. You should not need to send patient files to explain an inaccurate business email or professional profile. Keep the case focused on the information actually being processed about you.
Definitive Healthcare's public site includes Monocl among its product suites. If your concern is specifically a Monocl expert entry, name that product and the profile in your request. Ask the privacy team which notice and systems apply. This guide consolidates the parent workflow without promising that one generic instruction erases every affiliate's data under every circumstance.
For a separate expert platform, use the H1 opt-out guide. For licensing and customer-controlled compliance records, the MedPro Systems guide explains a different controller relationship. These related paths are independent requests, even when they describe the same practitioner.
Track the result and distinguish website preferences
The official supplement lists different routes for offline database sales and web-based privacy choices. Turning off advertising cookies affects browser-related processing; it should not be read as a confirmation that a professional database record has been deleted. If that record is your concern, use the relevant request type and ask for an explicit outcome.
The provider says it responds in accordance with applicable laws and may be unable to honor some requests where restrictions or exceptions apply. We did not verify one universal deletion deadline for all locations. Ask for an expected response date and retain extension or verification messages instead of treating an aggregate historical average as your personal completion time.
Read the final reply for the systems covered, the action taken, retained data and appeal instructions. The US supplement says a denial response provides appeal guidance and lists privacy@definitivehc.com for questions.
If the portal is unavailable, the designated phone route is 1-866-679-6461. A technical failure does not justify guessing fields or submitting through a sales-demo form.
Professional information may remain at its original institution, source directory or another company. A successful request to one controller is not a source-wide correction. If an old practice address keeps returning, identify where it originates and ask that source about correction as a separate step.
The healthcare-worker buying guide explains where a commercial removal service fits alongside professional directories. You can also run a free data broker scan for supported consumer broker exposure. A scan does not confirm Definitive Healthcare coverage, prove absence from a subscription database, or replace the provider's response.
For organizing requests across several providers, use the manual broker-removal checklist to track each request, response and follow-up date.
Definitive Healthcare opt-out questions
Can I remove only an outdated email address?
The center includes an Update Inaccuracies Request. Identify the old email, the relevant profile and the accurate replacement or requested treatment. If you also want sale or sharing to stop, state that separately rather than expecting correction to perform an opt-out automatically.
Does the portal require a paid subscription?
We could view the request center and opt-out fields without purchasing a subscription. That does not eliminate identity or authorization checks later in the process. Public access to the form is evidence of an available starting route, not evidence that every request will be granted.
Why does the form show the wrong country?
The portal may infer location from the browsing connection. A VPN or forwarded link can make that assumption unsuitable for you. Correct the country of residence before proceeding and read the choices offered for your actual situation.
Does opting out erase records from a hospital or medical board?
The portal concerns Definitive Healthcare's processing. A hospital, licensing authority or professional organization may control its own record and have a different correction procedure. Nothing in our form inspection establishes that this request changes those original records.
What if I cannot find a public listing to paste?
A public URL is not always available for information in a subscription database. Describe your professional name, relevant affiliation and the context that led you to the provider. Ask the privacy team what information is needed to locate the correct record rather than buying access just to speculate about it.
