DSPolitical Opt Out Guide: Requests, Verification and Limits
Submit a DSPolitical opt-out or deletion request using its official form. Understand matching, verification, response times and campaign-data limits.

To opt out of DSPolitical, follow the secure privacy webform linked from its official privacy policy. Select the opt-out or deletion action you need, provide relevant matching details, and track the response.
The policy also lists privacy@dspolitical.com and 888-860-2476. This DSPolitical opt out guide explains a key difference: the provider describes email or SMS validation for access/deletion requests, while sales opt-outs use matching without that same verification step. Browser advertising controls are another separate action.
The policy and linked public form were checked September 24, 2026. We inspected request types and fields without submitting information, sending email or making a call. The form displays Optimal Privacy branding; it is linked directly by DSPolitical's policy. No completed removal or campaign outcome was tested.

DSPolitical request routes and limits
| Your goal | Route | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Opt out of covered sales or targeted advertising | Policy-linked privacy form | Basic record matching still matters |
| Request deletion, access or correction | Same form, different request choice | Contact validation and identity matching may follow |
| Ask about a request | privacy@dspolitical.com or 888-860-2476 | Keep the original case reference |
| Change browser advertising controls | Policy's advertising opt-out links | Browser/device settings are separate |
| Address customer-controlled campaign data | Contact the responsible customer | DSPolitical may act only as its processor |
| Change a voter or government source record | Original record authority | An advertising opt-out does not change registration |
Begin at the DSPolitical privacy policy. It describes its role in advertising services, how data is matched, and when a customer controls the information. Do not assume receiving a political advertisement proves that DSPolitical holds a particular record about you.
The Deep Root Analytics guide and i360 opt-out guide cover separate political-data workflows. Use those only when relevant. A request to one company is not a request to every advertising vendor or campaign that may have used similar audience information.
How to submit the manual request
1. Identify the advertisement or record
Note the advertisement, sender, date, or service that led you to DSPolitical. The policy asks for useful campaign context because the company often works for agencies and advertisers. A description of the communication can help the team identify the customer or processing activity involved.
Keep a private copy of the relevant message or page address. Avoid forwarding an entire inbox or uploading unrelated campaign correspondence. If the material belongs to a different company, ask for routing information instead of assuming that the DSPolitical privacy team can delete every recipient's copy.
2. Open the form from the official policy
The policy links to a secure privacy request webform. The inspected page has Optimal Privacy contact details. That branding is visible in the provider-linked form; it is not an independent removal service or a reason to buy a subscription.
The form showed country, a relationship selection, request types, first name, last name, email, and a details field. Relationship choices included employee-related options and Other. Select the truthful relationship. A consumer should not claim to be an employee simply because those options appear above Other.
3. Select the specific privacy action
The observed request choices included Opt out, Data Deletion, Update Data, Info Request and other processing rights. Choose the option that reflects your goal. Deletion and opting out are distinct: the former concerns held information, while the latter concerns covered future uses or disclosures.
Provide the matching fields requested in the form. The policy asks for first and last name plus an email address or phone number associated with the relevant interaction. Its free-text field warns against entering personal information there. Keep identity details in their designated fields and use the description for concise campaign or request context.
An attachment control was available, but we did not upload any file. Its presence does not mean every person must supply identification. If you need to provide evidence, ask which parts are necessary and how to avoid exposing unrelated data.
4. Follow the correct verification path
For access, deletion and correction, the policy describes an email validation link or a temporary SMS PIN. It says the request cannot continue if that step is not completed. It then describes matching at least two data points, such as name plus a matching email address or phone number.
The policy distinguishes sale opt-outs: it says it does not send the same contact-validation link or PIN for those requests. It still needs enough basic information to locate a record. Do not assume that no verification email means your opt-out failed, and do not assume a validated email proves a matching record exists.
- Save the request date and selected action.
- Keep the acknowledgment and any reference number.
- Complete applicable verification through the official channel.
- Retain the final outcome and any no-match explanation.
5. Use the documented alternative when needed
The policy lists privacy@dspolitical.com and 888-860-2476 as alternatives. If you email, state the requested action and the context that may identify the relevant campaign.
The policy may direct you to a secure portal for verification. We did not test email delivery, a telephone call, or any automated response.
If you cannot load the form, report the URL and error to that contact. Do not enter personal information on a third-party page that merely claims to process DSPolitical requests. Returning to the official policy is the safest way to confirm the current route.
Timing, matching failures and appeals
The policy says it endeavors to respond to verified access, deletion or correction requests within 45 days. It describes a possible additional 45 days with notice. For opt-outs it states as soon as feasible and no later than 15 business days. These are published process statements, not timings measured by this guide.
A no-match response is different from a completed deletion. The policy describes matching the information provided against its records and says it does not create a new marketing profile when no matching data is found. If the record uses an old contact detail, explain that issue through the secure request channel rather than submitting unrelated data.
For appeals or review requests, the policy gives the same privacy email and phone number. It describes Privacy Request Appeal as a subject, with separate California wording in its California section. Use the wording applicable to your request and include the original reference plus a brief explanation of the disputed result.
The policy describes a 30-day window for submitting review requests and a 45-day appeal response. Check the actual decision for instructions, because the right and procedure depend on jurisdiction and circumstances. This guide explains the provider's published process; it does not determine whether a refusal is legally valid.
Customer-controlled data and browser settings
DSPolitical says some information is handled as a processor or service provider for customers. For that information, the policy directs people to the customer that collected it, with DSPolitical assisting the customer under its agreement. Ask which role applies when a response says the company cannot act directly.
The policy also says previously disclosed information held by independent third parties may be outside its ability to change or delete. An advertising opt-out does not amend a government voter record, withdraw a political donation, or cancel voter registration. Treat those as different records with different responsible organizations.
Browser advertising controls address another part of the process. A browser signal or cookie setting is not proof that an email-linked campaign record was deleted. Likewise, a deletion confirmation does not show the settings on every browser or connected device. Use the provider's current advertising-choice links for those controls.
If another political-data source is involved, the Aristotle removal guide provides a separate route. The data broker opt-out list can help you organize companies without assuming one request has universal reach.
Reappearance and follow-up
Save the exact scope of the response. Later advertising could involve another customer, identifier, source record or provider. That possibility is not proof that DSPolitical ignored a request. Compare the later evidence with the information and processing covered by the earlier decision before escalating.
For a repeat issue, provide the prior reference and the new communication date. Ask whether it concerns the same record or customer. A focused follow-up is easier to assess than a broad demand to remove every reference to a person from the internet.
The manual removal overview explains how to track these separate tasks. If you also want to locate supported public listings, run a free data broker scan. A people-search scan cannot establish the contents of a private political advertising database.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the form say Optimal Privacy?
That is the branding on the secure form linked by DSPolitical's policy during our check. Start from the policy to verify the connection. The guide does not create a separate parent-company removal workflow or claim that every affiliated service is covered by one request.
Will an opt-out stop every political advertisement?
No. Other campaigns, vendors and non-personalized advertising can continue. A request concerns the covered processing and information identified by the responsible company. Ask about a specific communication rather than treating every later ad as evidence of failure.
Does deleting campaign data remove my voter registration?
No. A company privacy request does not itself change the underlying government record or registration. Contact the appropriate original authority if that record is the issue. Keep advertising preferences and official records separate.
Should I expect a verification email?
For access/deletion-type requests, the policy describes email or SMS validation and matching. For opt-outs, it describes a different process without the same validation link. We did not submit a request, so the instructions in your actual acknowledgment remain decisive.
What if a customer holds the data?
Ask which customer controls it and how to exercise your request there. The policy distinguishes customer-controlled processing from DSPolitical's own controller role. A response about one role does not necessarily resolve information held in the other.
