LightBox Opt Out: Personal Data Deletion and Rights Form
Use LightBox’s individual data rights form to request deletion, access, or correction. Check jurisdiction, verification, and limits for property records.

To request deletion of personal information held by LightBox, open its Individual Data Rights Request page and choose Delete my personal information in the embedded form. Verify the detected jurisdiction before continuing. For sale/sharing choices or a form problem, consult the privacy policy or email privacyinfo@lightboxre.com; deletion is a separate request.

Use LightBox official privacy request instructions as the starting point. The instructions and public evidence were checked September 12, 2026. No consumer request was submitted, so this guide reports the documented process rather than a tested removal result.
How to submit your LightBox request
- Open the Individual Data Rights Request page on lightboxre.com. It embeds a DataSubject request portal; the privacy policy links to the same portal. Use that provider-linked route rather than an unverified third-party form.
- Review the portal’s detected jurisdiction and correct it to your actual location if necessary. Our browser check detected a German region while introductory text still referred to California residents. Do not claim California residence to fit the wording; ask privacyinfo@lightboxre.com if the page does not explain your situation.
- Choose the request you need: Correct my personal information, Access my personal information or Delete my personal information. We opened the deletion choice and observed the fields before submission. Selecting a request type does not itself send it.
- For deletion, enter your email, first name and last name, which the inspected view marks required. It also displays phone, street address, city, state abbreviation and ZIP code. Include accurate matching details relevant to your record and follow the current validation.
- If you genuinely act for someone else, use the representation checkbox and follow the authorization process. LightBox says agents may need to show authority and that it may contact the consumer directly. Do not select this simply because another person shares your address.
- Submit your own request and monitor for receipt confirmation and identity verification. The portal warns that failure to verify can prevent fulfillment. Keep the response, including any partial refusal or retention reason, and ask how to handle a separate sale/sharing preference if that is also your goal.
Choose the scope before sending personal information
- Access: request a summary of the personal information stored about you when you need to establish what is held.
- Correction or deletion: choose the matching request type; correcting an inaccurate person-related field is different from deleting an entire property dataset.
- Sale/sharing: the California section separately describes an opt-out and GPC signals. Ask the privacy contact about applying that choice to an identified record.
Write down the outcome you want before starting. A useful request identifies the relevant record and states whether you want a disclosure stopped, a field corrected, or stored information deleted. If several actions matter, list them separately and ask the provider to confirm the disposition of each one.
Use identifiers tied to the record rather than a large bundle of personal documents. A name alone may match another person, while an unrelated address can confuse the request. Supply the minimum accurate details needed for the particular workflow, then respond to any explained verification step.
What the provider controls
LightBox’s policy describes sources that include publicly available real-estate and government information, alongside professional contact and service-related data. A property entry can contain both personal details and nonpersonal facts. Identify the information about you that concerns you instead of assuming every fact about a parcel must disappear.
The provider says requests may be declined or fulfilled only in part if identity cannot be verified or an exception applies. It gives legally required business-record retention as an example. That is a reason to ask for a precise response about retained fields, not to assume that submitting the form guarantees complete database erasure.
The embedded portal’s location detection is a convenience, not a legal eligibility decision. A VPN, network route or shared browser environment may affect the detected location. The observed California wording alongside a German detected jurisdiction is why this guide directs readers to confirm their actual location and use the privacy contact when unclear.
A response from LightBox does not amend a county recorder, assessor or another company’s copy of property information. If the source record is inaccurate, the source organization may have its own correction process. Keep that request separate from LightBox’s handling of personal data in its services.
Verification and processing: what to keep
Deletion view requires email, first name and last name; optional phone and address; identity verification follows.
Form promises receipt confirmation and verification but no fixed completion deadline.
Retain the submission date, the contact address or form URL, the identifiers used, and any case number. Keep the provider’s acknowledgement separate from its completion response. An automatic email that says a case was received does not establish that the record was removed or that every requested action was accepted.
When the provider asks for more information, check that the message belongs to the case you opened. Ask what is missing and how to supply it securely. Do not repeatedly send unrelated documents to multiple addresses. A precise reply in the existing thread usually makes the record easier to follow.
Reappearance and follow-up checks
A corrected source record, property transaction, changed address or independent data supplier can produce a later record; ask what identifiers and future processing the response covers.
Recheck the same record or environment first. Compare its identifying details with the request you submitted. A different email, employer, profile URL, or browser preference may explain why the later result is outside the original match. Ask the provider to clarify before describing the entire process as unsuccessful.
A practical privacy log can be brief: provider, relevant record, requested action, submission date, confirmation, and next check. Choose a reminder based on the response you receive. If no completion date is given, ask for one instead of treating a historical average or another provider’s deadline as a promise.
Connect this request to the next useful cleanup
Use the data broker opt-out list to track other providers and the opt-out topic hub to find current instructions. The broader manual data broker removal guide explains how to organize a multi-provider cleanup.
Relevant follow-up workflows are CoreLogic instructions, BlockShopper instructions, and NeighborWho instructions. Use each only when it matches a separate exposure; one provider’s confirmation does not serve as proof about another database.
For wider exposure checks, run a free broker scan. If recurring follow-up would help, compare the scope and cadence of services in the data removal comparison hub. A scan is a starting point, not proof that every private database was searched.
LightBox opt out FAQ
Why does the form mention California after detecting another location?
That combination appeared in our public browser check. Verify your real jurisdiction and ask the listed privacy contact which process applies. Do not misstate where you live to proceed.
What personal details does the deletion form require?
The inspected view requires email, first name and last name. It also offers phone and address fields, which were not marked required in the observed HTML. Follow the current validation and supply relevant matching details.
Can I ask LightBox to remove a government deed?
A LightBox request concerns its handling of your data. It does not itself change an independent government record. Contact the source office about an inaccurate source entry and ask LightBox about its own copy separately.
Is the portal’s deletion choice also a sale opt-out?
The visible request choices were correction, access and deletion. The privacy policy describes sale/sharing choices separately. Ask privacyinfo@lightboxre.com to clarify the additional preference you want recorded.
What happens if LightBox cannot verify me?
The portal says the request may not be honored. Respond to legitimate matching questions and ask what is missing. If it refuses or limits the request, retain the explanation and applicable follow-up instructions.
Sources and verification notes
LightBox official privacy request instructions and the official privacy policy were checked on September 12, 2026. Screenshots document public instructions only. Request timing, eligibility, exceptions, and identity checks remain subject to the provider’s current process.
These are practical instructions based on the cited provider material, not an individual legal assessment. If a request is denied, keep the reason and consult the relevant regulator’s official guidance for your location. Do not assume that a request available in one jurisdiction has identical terms everywhere.
