To opt out of Madhive, use its official Privacy Center and choose the request that matches your goal. Select deletion to request removal of data, or the processing opt-out for restrictions on its use. Madhive also describes a platform opt-out tied to your current IP address.

Website cookie preferences are a separate control. This Madhive opt out guide explains those differences, the identity evidence shown in the form, and how to follow up without assuming that one request erases every advertising record.

Last checked October 10, 2026. We inspected the public policy, state notice, request selector, and deletion form. We did not submit personal information or test a completed removal.

Which Madhive privacy route should you use?

Madhive operates an advertising platform. Its policy describes information about consumers, devices, advertising activity, and business contacts. This is a different problem from finding a public page containing your name and address. A request can concern an IP address or advertising identifier even when there is no searchable personal profile.

Use the opt-out guide hub when you need to address several companies. Each company has its own data scope and request route; a general browser setting should not be mistaken for a confirmed deletion across them all.

How to submit a Madhive deletion request

Open the official Privacy Center. Its initial screen offers access, portability, deletion, processing opt-out, restriction, and correction requests. It also provides a View My Requests route for checking an existing case. Choose Delete your data if deletion is your objective.

The public deletion screen inspected for this guide marks First Name, Last Name, Email, IP Address Screenshot, and the requester relationship as required. The screenshot control accepts JPG and PDF files up to 4 MB. Its instruction asks for a screenshot of your current IP address.

The relationship selector shows Customer and Authorized Agent. These are the observed controls, even though the surrounding notice discusses consumer rights more broadly.

  • Enter your own first and last name and an email address you can monitor.
  • Prepare the IP evidence requested by the form, showing only the relevant information.
  • Select the truthful requester relationship. If the available label does not fit, ask Madhive how to proceed instead of claiming an inaccurate role.
  • Review the request, complete any security check yourself, and submit only when the details are correct.
  • Save the confirmation and any reference number, then use the request-status route for follow-up.

Avoid including unrelated tabs, account numbers, documents, or other people in the screenshot. If additional proof is requested, confirm that the request comes from the official privacy workflow and ask what minimum evidence is sufficient. A screenshot proving a network identifier is not a reason to send an entire identity document unprompted.

How does the IP-address opt-out differ?

Madhive's general privacy policy links a platform choice from its Your Choices section. It says that this method attempts to collect the IP address currently associated with your computer or device and adds it to a suppression list. The policy specifically warns that a different device or IP address can require a renewed choice.

That makes the connection you are using relevant. A mobile connection, home broadband connection, and work network may present different public IP addresses. A VPN can also change the address a website sees. Consider which connection the request should concern; do not assume a request made on one network covers every network you later use.

Deletion and suppression answer different questions. Deletion concerns information held about you, subject to exceptions. Suppression records a restriction so the provider can avoid specified future uses.

Retaining a limited suppression identifier can therefore be consistent with honoring an opt-out. Ask the provider to explain retained information if its response is unclear.

For another IP-related workflow, see the MaxMind opt-out guide. Its country-level versus global choice has different consequences, so do not copy its selections into a Madhive request.

Verification, timing, and follow-up

The state privacy notice describes confirmation within 10 days and a good-faith attempt to fulfill requests within 45 days, unless applicable law requires faster action. These are provider statements about the request process, not a measured removal time or a promise that every copy disappears by a fixed date.

The notice says access requests may need a mobile advertising identifier or connected-TV identifier as well as other details. Deletion currently presents the IP screenshot requirement described above. Do not assume that every request type has identical evidence requirements. An authorized agent may also need to establish identity and authority.

If a confirmation does not arrive, check spam and return to View My Requests before opening repeated cases. Keep a short record of the submission date, request type, network concerned, and response. When following up, refer to the existing case and explain the unanswered question.

For California residents, the notice also lists 1-866-467-8688 with service code 1803. General privacy questions use compliance@madhive.com; the notice designates the Privacy Center for exercising rights.

What can remain after your request?

Madhive distinguishes data it controls from first-party data supplied by a client. Its notice directs requests about client-supplied information to the media-buying customer unless that customer authorized Madhive to respond. A completed Madhive request therefore cannot establish that the original advertiser has erased its own customer records.

The policy also describes retention for legal obligations and certain other purposes. Ask for the scope of any exception rather than treating a partial response as either total success or total failure. Advertising exposure elsewhere may involve different companies and identifiers. Our data broker opt-out directory helps organize separate requests without assuming that one provider controls the entire chain.

Revisit your choice after meaningful network or device changes. Keep the earlier confirmation so you can distinguish newly associated identifiers from an unresolved original request. For connected-TV and audience-data context, the Tunnl removal guide explains another provider-specific workflow.

If your concern also includes publicly exposed names, phone numbers, or addresses, run a free data broker scan. Public-profile scanning is a separate task from checking whether a particular IP-based advertising restriction has been applied.

For another connected-TV advertising platform, the MNTN opt-out guide describes its own controls. Follow it only where that provider is relevant to your exposure.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Madhive advertising account?

The public Privacy Center is accessible without purchasing an advertising subscription. Its deletion form does ask for a requester relationship. If the options do not describe you accurately, seek clarification through the official contact instead of creating a paid account or choosing a false role.

Will declining website cookies delete platform data?

No such result is established by the policy. Madhive describes website cookie controls and platform choices separately. Use the Privacy Center for the data request you intend, and manage website tracking preferences as an additional action.

Does an IP screenshot prove every household member opted out?

It is evidence requested for the submitted case. It does not prove the identity, consent, or successful removal of every person who shares a connection. Submit requests only for yourself or where you have authority to act.

Is a confirmation email proof of deletion?

An acknowledgment establishes receipt, not necessarily completion. Read the final response for the data covered, action taken, exceptions, and any additional steps. Keep the response with your request record.

Why could I still see advertising afterward?

An opt-out does not mean advertising stops altogether. Ads may be contextual, originate from another provider, or involve an identifier outside the request's scope. Judge the response against the specific restriction you requested rather than whether you see any ads at all.

Sources and scope

This guide uses Madhive's official Privacy Center, general policy, and state notice linked above, checked October 10, 2026. Public form inspection confirms the displayed controls, not successful submission, identity verification, or downstream deletion. Rights and exceptions depend on the request and applicable law.
