To opt out of Message Digital, use its Your Privacy Choices page or call the privacy-request number in its policy, +1 (888) 980-3207. Specify the action you want, such as deletion or an applicable sale and targeted-advertising opt-out. Replying STOP to a text addresses that messaging stream; it does not by itself request deletion of the company's underlying data record.

We inspected the public policy and embedded request form on October 12, 2026. No phone number, email address, or personal request was submitted. The steps below describe the visible intake and published policy, not a tested removal result.

Choose the right privacy action

Message Digital provides messaging and marketing services. Its policy discusses contact information and data used for targeted advertising. A consumer can therefore have more than one goal: stop a particular text, restrict certain uses of personal data, or ask what information is held and request deletion.

Write down the action you want before starting. That makes it easier to tell whether a reply addresses your database request or only a communication preference.

The Message Digital privacy policy says it processes or shares data for targeted advertising and sells data as described there. Those are company statements about its practices, not evidence that a particular reader's information was sold.

How to find and use the form

Message Digital request types in the United States California branch checked October 12, 2026
Official public page inspected October 12, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

Open Your Privacy Choices. The request form is embedded in the page through OneTrust. In our first browser check, only the page heading appeared in the outer page text; inspecting the embedded content revealed the actual form.

The initial form displayed country, phone number, and email fields. Selecting United States exposed a state field. Selecting California then displayed requests for sale/sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out, access, correction, and deletion. Use your actual location; other branches can differ.

  • Open the official privacy-choice page and allow the embedded form to load.
  • Select your actual country and complete the applicable regional field.
  • Enter the phone number associated with your request in the displayed format.
  • Provide an email address you control for correspondence.
  • Choose the specific request type shown for your location. The California branch offers a combined sale/sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out and a separate deletion choice.
  • Review any security challenge, submit yourself, and save the receipt.

If the form does not let you clearly communicate the action you want, use the published phone alternative. Do not assume that entering a number alone necessarily asks for every available right. Ask which action is being recorded and how you will receive confirmation.

A marketing pop-up can obscure the embedded form. Close the overlay and scroll to the request area. If the frame remains blank, try another browser session or permit the necessary embedded content for this site. Restore your normal browsing settings afterward.

The phone route and a useful request script

The policy expressly offers +1 (888) 980-3207 for exercising privacy rights. Use it when the form will not load, you cannot complete the applicable location branch, or you need the company to clarify the correct request type.

A concise script is: I want to make a privacy request for the phone number associated with my record. Please record my request for deletion and the applicable sale or targeted-advertising opt-out. Tell me what information you need to match it and how I can receive confirmation.

Adapt that wording to your objective. If you want access or correction instead, say so. You do not need to accuse the company of unlawful conduct to ask it to process a published privacy right.

Record the date, contact method, request type, and any reference number. Ask for the expected response channel. Do not provide a password or a complete identity-document package merely because you are speaking with a representative; first establish why a requested detail is needed.

The policy also lists privacy@messagedigital.com for privacy questions and certain specific requests. The general exercise-of-rights section names the form and phone route, so those are the primary intake paths used in this guide.

Verification, deadlines, and appeals

The policy distinguishes opt-outs from other rights requests. It says opt-out requests do not require identity verification, while access, correction, and deletion may require matching information. It describes name, phone number, and email as a minimum for its verification process.

That distinction prevents a common mistake: treating every data request as though it has the same proof requirements. If a reply combines several actions, ask which portion requires verification and which opt-out was recorded separately.

The provider says it makes every effort to respond within 45 days. Complex requests can take up to 90 days, with notice and a reason within the initial period. These are published response terms, not a promise that all information will disappear from all sources by a particular day.

If the company denies a request, its policy says it will provide a reason and instructions for an appeal. Eligibility and appeal deadlines can vary by location. Read the actual denial and applicable policy section rather than relying on a generic deadline from another provider's guide.

An acknowledgment proves receipt, not completed deletion. A verification message proves that an additional step is needed, not that your request was denied. Keep those stages separate so you know what to do next.

Why texts or records may continue

A text may come from a client, campaign, or organization with its own subscriber list. Ask that sender to stop the messages as appropriate while keeping the Message Digital data request separate. A STOP reply should not be described as a universal deletion command.

Likewise, browser-based opt-out signals concern their applicable collection context. Do not assume a preference set in one browser identifies every phone number or email in an independent dataset. The scope of the provider's response is the evidence to use.

The policy describes partial completion when a verified request cannot be matched to a stored record. A no-match or partial response can therefore require clarification about the identifier used. It does not necessarily mean that the company located your data and refused to delete it.

For repeat exposure, preserve the new message or record details and compare them with your original request. A changed phone number, email, or data source can matter. Our general broker-removal guide explains how to track these differences.

Where to go after this request

If your investigation identifies a separate political or audience-data provider, the Tunnl opt-out guide and Sterling Data Company guide explain distinct request routes. Those links do not imply that every Message Digital communication uses either source.

Use the opt-out guide hub to find the provider actually involved, and maintain your list alongside the data broker directory. Prioritize sources supported by a visible record, sender explanation, or other evidence.

You can also run a free data broker scan for supported public exposures. A scan cannot determine the contents of every private messaging or audience database. Confirm service coverage and any personal verification tasks before expecting an automated subscription to finish this workflow for you.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the request form blank?

It is embedded content and may load separately from the surrounding page. Wait briefly, close obstructing overlays, and try a fresh session if needed. The official toll-free route remains an alternative for submitting a clearly specified privacy request.

Does an opt-out require the same verification as deletion?

The policy says opt-outs are exempt from its identity-verification process. Other requests can require matching and additional information. Ask the provider to explain which part of a combined request needs verification.

Can a STOP reply replace the privacy form?

It can address the relevant text subscription, but it does not establish a database-deletion result. Use the published privacy route for access, deletion, correction, or a broader applicable opt-out.

Should I submit another request after changing my number?

A different identifier may need separate matching. Explain the change and refer to your earlier request. Do not claim control over a number that has been reassigned to someone else.

Is a public screenshot proof that removal works?

No. The screenshot shows the accessible intake and visible fields. It does not prove submission, identity verification, processing, or the deletion of an individual record.
