The products solve overlapping problems, but their feature lists are not interchangeable. A Norton security subscription does not automatically establish that you own the full removal Assistant. A free Cloaked exposure scan does not start paid removal requests.

What will you actually pay?

The Norton U.S. product page currently displays $109.99 annually or $12.99 monthly. Twelve monthly payments at that advertised rate total $155.88 before any applicable taxes or adjustments. That arithmetic is a billing comparison, not a renewal quote.

The Cloaked plans page shows the following billing choices in its current annual and monthly views:

Cloaked's annual Couple card also displays $14.99 as a monthly equivalent beside the $174.99 annual total. Those figures do not reconcile exactly. Use the stated annual charge for a provisional budget and verify the actual checkout amount instead of silently correcting the card.

At the displayed individual annual rates, Norton is $10 less than Cloaked. That narrow price difference may be less important than whether you want aliases or prefer the Norton request workflow. Do not compare one person's price with a household plan without checking the actual member entitlements.

Both offers can vary by billing channel, region, promotions and renewal terms. We checked public cards rather than completing checkout. Verify the payable total, renewal amount, cancellation route and covered people before purchasing.

How do the removal workflows differ?

Norton: start an agent-assisted request

Norton's current getting-started documentation explains a user-initiated process for full Privacy Monitor Assistant. Run and review the scan, select Submit Request, accept the agreement and complete any required verification.

Norton's agents then submit supported requests. The documentation says you receive an email after the batch has been sent. That email describes dispatch, not proof that every broker has already removed the record. Some brokers require extra steps or do not allow a third party to finish the request.

The same documentation describes requests about once every 90 days. A different product, Assistant Lite or Automatic Data Broker Removal, has a smaller supported scope and a more automatic workflow. Do not apply Lite's behavior to the full Assistant or assume every bundle includes the same features.

Cloaked: paid enrollment and a status dashboard

Cloaked's removal documentation says a free scan identifies possible exposure but does not remove information. Requests begin after paid enrollment. The dashboard tracks records and distinguishes progress, verification and removal states.

Cloaked describes ongoing monitoring and repeat requests while the subscription remains active. Its documentation says early takedowns usually begin around 14 business days, but broker processing varies. That is a provider expectation, not a promise that all sources disappear within that period.

If a dashboard reports several removals at one broker, do not interpret the number as several different websites. Cloaked explicitly distinguishes individual records from sites. Old addresses, name variants and phone numbers can create more than one record at the same provider.

Why the coverage numbers cannot pick a winner

Norton's headline says over 2,000 data broker sites and databases. Cloaked describes more than 1,000 brokers and companies. These are provider-defined inventories with different wording, not a controlled comparison of successful removals.

A useful purchase question is whether the service supports the sources where your information actually appears. Ask what happens when a source is unsupported, requires personal verification or refuses a third-party request. A larger headline does not answer those questions.

The public evidence here does not establish a removal success rate, average time to completion or an independently measured winner. Who should choose Norton, and who should choose Cloaked?

When Norton is a good fit

Norton is worth considering if you value agent handling and are comfortable returning to review results and initiate the applicable request cycle. It can also fit someone already using a Norton account who wants to understand a specific removal add-on before buying another subscription.

Check the exact product name. Privacy Monitor supplies scanning and manual guidance; full Assistant adds agent help; Lite has its own scope. Ask about verification requirements and confirm eligibility for your location and household. The U.S. price page is not evidence of a universal global entitlement.

When Cloaked is a good fit

Cloaked is worth considering if you will use aliases for future sign-ups as well as removal for existing exposure. Separate email addresses and phone aliases can reduce how often you disclose your primary contact details to new services.

Aliases still need management. They do not retroactively replace the real address already held by a broker or delete an employer's copy. Plan which services should use an alias and which need a stable identity or recovery contact before changing important accounts.

Cloaked's public pages state U.S. and Canada availability. Confirm the eligibility of the particular feature and plan rather than treating that footer as proof that every benefit works identically in both countries. Its household cards are a useful starting point, not a substitute for enrollment terms.

When a removal-focused service makes sense

For Norton, check your specific subscription and renewal disclosure at purchase.
