Norton vs EasyOptOuts Data Removal: Cost and Request Effort
Compare Norton Privacy Monitor Assistant and EasyOptOuts on annual cost, request effort, supported sites and privacy using current official sources.

EasyOptOuts is the lower-cost choice for a US consumer who wants recurring opt-outs from prominent public people-search sites. Norton Privacy Monitor Assistant is worth considering when you prefer agent-assisted request batches and its additional account-cleanup features. Choose by the specific sites, permissions and work involved; the services’ headline coverage counts measure different sets and do not prove comparative removal success.
Our September 22, 2026 browser checks showed EasyOptOuts at $19.99 per year and Norton’s US Assistant offer at $109.99 per year. This is a source-based comparison of current offers and documentation.
We did not purchase either service or run a removal trial.

Full Assistant adds expert request handling. Assistant Lite is a smaller, mostly automatic service in certain plans. Do not assume any Norton subscription includes the full product compared here.
What will you pay, and what is included?

Annual cost and the Norton price discrepancy
The EasyOptOuts pricing page shows $19.99 per year for its Personal plan. The Norton US offer showed $109.99 per year in our browser.
Those displayed annual totals differ by $90 before any applicable taxes, discounts or later renewal changes.
A reader representation of Norton’s page showed $129.99 during research, so the accessible representations did not agree. We use the price visible in the dated browser capture and flag the discrepancy rather than declaring a price increase. Confirm the amount, product name, billing interval and renewal price in your own checkout before buying.
Norton’s subscription terms say renewal can be billed before the anniversary, and renewal prices may differ from the initial price. EasyOptOuts advertises a 150-day money-back guarantee. Compare the actual cancellation and refund terms attached to your purchase instead of treating the lowest displayed price as a permanent contract.
Personal and household use
EasyOptOuts’ pricing FAQ says it does not offer a personal family plan, while business options exist separately. Do not multiply one Personal subscription into assumed household coverage. If protecting several people, compare the applicable total and who must provide their own information.
Norton’s entitlement varies by product and purchase channel. A device allowance in a security plan does not establish the number of people covered by data removal. Ask which adult profiles the specific Assistant purchase permits before using a security-suite family label as a removal benefit.
How much work does each service require?
Norton: distinguish scanning from sending requests
The Norton support guide says full Assistant users can typically initiate an opt-out batch about once every 90 days. Experts send requests to supported brokers and notify the user when the batch has been sent.
That dispatch email is not proof that every broker finished removing data. The product page’s monitoring and resubmission language should be read alongside the instructions for initiating a batch. Lite has a different, narrower automatic workflow and should not be used to describe full Assistant as identical.
Full Assistant also includes Online Account Cleaner, according to the support guide. It can inspect an authorized inbox for signs of old accounts and provide cleanup choices. Consider whether you want that extra processing and understand its permissions before connecting an inbox.
EasyOptOuts: recurring automated rounds
EasyOptOuts describes an initial search and request cycle that can take up to two weeks, followed by broker processing and search-engine update time. It then repeats scans every four months and emails a summary of the round. This is provider-described behavior, not our measured removal speed.
Its supported-sites page separates direct and indirect coverage from unsupported workflows. Check the actual site causing your concern. A service can be a good general choice while still requiring you to handle a particular suppression process yourself.

Coverage, geography and privacy tradeoffs
Norton’s over-2,000 headline includes sites and databases; EasyOptOuts emphasizes 200+ high-visibility public sources. Those are vendor-defined scopes. Dividing price by those counts creates a misleading value metric because it ignores matching, actual request support, visible exposure and successful outcomes.
Instead, list the specific websites or exposure problems you want addressed. Check each provider’s support for them and how much user action is required. Neither a large catalog nor a low price proves removal from every source, and no subscription can promise that all public records vanish.
Norton’s support documentation describes Assistant availability in selected regions, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with plan and channel differences. The US price in this article should not be treated as a worldwide offer. Some mobile features have narrower availability.
EasyOptOuts’ privacy policy says its service is intended for current or recent US residents. If you recently moved abroad, confirm eligibility directly. Its policy describes US Google Cloud storage and processing, limited team access and sharing information with supported sites to perform opt-outs. Those recipients can have their own data practices and locations.
The same policy distinguishes deletion of submitted information from retained backups, logs, payment records and correspondence. Do not turn account deletion into a claim that every business record disappears immediately. Read the current policy if retention is a deciding factor.
Which option fits your situation?
- Choose EasyOptOuts when the annual budget is tight and your priority is recurring removal from its supported public people-search sites.
- Consider Norton when you value agent assistance, already use its account ecosystem, or want full Assistant’s account-cleanup features.
- Check eligibility and individual site coverage before paying for either service.
- Keep urgent threats separate from routine subscription decisions; a recurring scan schedule is not emergency incident response.
CrabClear is another option to compare when its plan scope and data-handling model fit your needs. Review current CrabClear plans and the data removal comparison hub. CrabClear also depends on broker responses and cannot guarantee deletion of every record or substitute for a specific platform’s own privacy controls.
Our bundle versus removal-service guide helps separate security extras from the removal task itself. The comparison topic hub and best-services overview provide other choices when neither product meets your geography or exposure needs.
Frequently asked questions
Is Norton five times more effective because it costs more?
No effectiveness ratio follows from price. The services have different workflows, support and coverage definitions. This article verifies offers and documentation, not a controlled outcome comparison.
Can I buy EasyOptOuts only once?
Its Personal offer is an annual subscription with recurring scans. New records can appear between rounds, which explains the ongoing model. Review cancellation terms if you want to stop renewal rather than assuming payment is a a one-time service lasting indefinitely.
Does every Norton security plan include Assistant?
No. The documentation distinguishes scanning, full Assistant, Lite and plan-specific inclusion. Verify the exact entitlement in your account or checkout. A free scan is not the same as a paid request-handling subscription.
Can I use both services?
You can compare their terms and support before doing so, but paying twice can create overlapping requests without necessarily solving an unsupported source. First identify the actual coverage gap and the extra permissions or information each service needs.
Sources and verification notes
Official pricing, site-coverage, privacy and Norton workflow pages linked above were checked September 22, 2026. Both competitor profiles passed the 30-day freshness gate. Screenshots record public prices and offer wording, not a checkout receipt or successful removal. The Norton price-representation discrepancy remains explicit; no independent effectiveness ranking, customer result or guaranteed removal time is claimed.
