Optable Opt Out Guide: Brokered Data and Suppression Requests

Use Optable’s brokered-data opt-out form. Check identifiers, verification, response times, suppression and the limits of client-controlled data.

To opt out of Optable's brokered data, use the “Request to Opt-Out / Delete Brokered Personal Data” form linked from its official suppression policy. Supply matching information, then complete any verification Optable requests. The policy says it confirms receipt within 10 days and completes valid opt-out/deletion requests within 30 days.

This route covers US residents whose information appears in third-party datasets Optable licenses or resells. It does not cover data Optable only processes for a client. For those records, contact the business or publisher that controls the data.

Before you start

  • Confirm that the record falls within the US brokered-data policy.
  • Open the form through Optable’s official suppression page.
  • Provide relevant matching details without guessing required fields.
  • Complete the provider’s stated email or phone verification step.
  • Keep receipt and completion responses as separate milestones.

What did we check?

On September 27, 2026, we inspected the brokered-data suppression policy and its linked public form. We observed the fields without submitting information, dispatching a verification code or testing a deletion.

The company is Optable, the advertising-data platform, not a similarly named restaurant-booking service.

Search results can confuse those names.

Start from the official terms.optable.co policy to make sure the request goes to the intended provider.

The opt-out guide hub lists other provider-specific processes. An Optable request is not a universal advertising preference and does not automatically erase records at every publisher or data supplier.

Does the brokered-data route apply to you?

The Optable privacy-policy index distinguishes controller and processor situations. This matters more than whether the information appears in an advertising system: the same platform can play different roles for different records.

How do you submit the Optable request?

1. Follow the form from the suppression policy

Use the policy's embedded link to the official brokered-data request form. The form is hosted through HubSpot. Reaching it from the provider's policy helps verify that the third-party form belongs to this process.

The heading describes both opting out of sale/sharing and requesting deletion under US data-broker rules. Read the current wording before entering information. The public page does not require an Optable customer account to display the form.

2. Supply information that can match the record

The form displays first and last name, email, mobile phone, street address, city, state/region and country/region. It also exposes mobile advertising and connected-TV identifier fields, an IP-address field and a current-IP opt-out control.

The policy asks for a full name plus one other identifier, such as email, postal code or phone number. The visible form has more fields than that policy summary. We did not submit it, so we cannot claim every visible field is mandatory or that a particular minimum combination passes validation.

Use information relevant to the record. If you are unsure which fields are required, ask privacy@optable.co before sending extra identifiers. A connected-TV identifier is not interchangeable with your phone's advertising identifier.

3. Treat the IP-address control carefully

The form includes an option concerning your current IP address. That address can depend on the network you are using, including a shared connection or VPN. Do not assume the current address necessarily identifies the earlier activity that concerns you.

If the record relates to another network or device, describe the situation to Optable. Do not weaken a privacy setting merely to populate a field. Request matching guidance if the relevant identifier is unavailable.

4. Review the request and complete verification

The policy calls for a declaration that you are the consumer or authorized to act for them. It also says a one-time code is sent to the provided email or phone and must be entered to finish the request.

That is the provider's stated process. We did not trigger a code or observe its delivery, so we do not describe a tested verification screen. Use a reply channel you control and retain any request reference that the form provides.

If you are acting for someone else, confirm the authorization requirements rather than submitting as if you were that person. Optable can reasonably verify the identity and relationship described in the request.

5. Keep acknowledgment and completion separate

Optable says it confirms receipt within 10 days and completes valid opt-out/deletion requests within 30 days. A receipt establishes that the request entered the process; it does not itself confirm deletion or suppression.

Save the completion response and check which identifiers it covers. If a request cannot be matched or verified, ask what is missing and how to correct it. Do not repeatedly send broader sets of personal information without an explanation.

What does Optable suppression retain?

The policy says suppressed identifiers go onto a persistent exclusion list to prevent re-ingestion in later third-party data updates. That means suppression can require keeping a limited record of the preference.

This is different from promising that every trace of an identifier vanishes. Ask what information remains for suppression and which uses have stopped if the response is unclear. A small exclusion record can serve the purpose of keeping a marketing record out of future updates.

The LiveRamp guide describes a separate identity-data workflow. The Lotame guide covers another advertising-data provider. A confirmation from Optable does not substitute for either company's process.

What if Optable only processes a client's data?

The brokered-data policy explicitly excludes information processed solely for clients. If a publisher, app or advertiser collected the information and controls the processing, make the request to that business as well.

Tell the controller which account or activity is involved and ask whether its request process covers downstream processors. Do not assume Optable can independently delete every client-controlled record merely because the platform handles it.

For correction, access or sensitive-data limits, Optable provides privacy@optable.co and its website contact form. Name the right and record you mean. The brokered-data form should not be treated as a catch-all substitute for every privacy request.

What if the form or verification fails?

Record the date, page address and error text. Contact the official privacy inbox to explain whether the failure happened before submission, during verification or after acknowledgment. Include a request reference if you actually received one.

If a code is missing, check the reply channel and ask for help without sharing the code publicly. We did not verify a resend control or expiration period, so this guide does not invent one.

The general data-broker removal guide explains how to track requests across companies. Review the record after changing contact information or devices because a new identifier may require a separate match.

For visible public listings elsewhere, run a free data broker scan. Public scans cannot audit Optable's private exclusion list or prove that a brokered-data request has completed.

Use the data broker opt-out list to track other companies separately, with a distinct request date and outcome for each.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Optable request free?

The policy says US residents can opt out of sale or licensing of their brokered personal data at no charge. No purchase was required to open the public form.

Is every form field required?

We observed the fields but did not test submission validation. The policy's matching summary is narrower than the full form, so ask Optable before assuming every identifier is necessary.

Does suppression mean all identifiers are erased?

No. Optable says it keeps suppressed identifiers on a persistent exclusion list to prevent re-ingestion. Ask about the limited retention and processing scope if needed.

Can someone outside the US use this guide?

The brokered-data section specifically states US-resident scope. Other privacy rights may use different routes; contact Optable rather than inferring eligibility from the country field.

Will this delete a publisher's account data?

Not automatically. The policy directs requests for client-controlled information to the relevant business or publisher. Account deletion and brokered-data suppression are different tasks.
