SemantIQ Opt Out: Advertising and Personal Data Requests
Request a SemantIQ opt-out, deletion or correction by email. Understand advertising choices, identity checks, response timing and retention.

To request a SemantIQ opt-out, email privacy@semantiqhealth.com and specify whether you want targeted advertising or sale-related processing stopped, personal data deleted, or an inaccurate record corrected. Its privacy policy supplies this route. Unsubscribing from a promotional email is a separate action and does not establish that all data about you has been deleted.
We checked SemantIQ's official privacy policy on October 24, 2026. It describes platform-user information, healthcare professional data, privacy rights and identity verification. The published email route is actionable without guessing a portal workflow. We did not send an email, submit personal data or test a completed request, so no removal speed or success rate is claimed.
Separate platform data from healthcare audience information
SemantIQ describes platform services and healthcare professional data used for audience segments, profiling and analytics. It also explains that platform-user information may support accounts, billing, service operation and advertising. Start by identifying the relationship behind your concern: professional data, a website visit, a customer account or promotional correspondence.
A healthcare-related company name does not mean this is a route to erase your medical chart. The policy discusses different categories and uses of information. A request should identify the data you believe SemantIQ processes about you, rather than asking it to alter a hospital's records or another organization's independent dataset.
| Your concern | Request to describe | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Targeted advertising | Opt out of targeted advertising | Deletion of every account or professional record |
| Sale or certain disclosure of data | State the processing you want stopped | Removal from all third-party systems |
| An inaccurate professional detail | Correction of the specific field | Suppression of all other information |
| Personal data retained by SemantIQ | Deletion request with identifying context | Erasure despite every retention exception |
| Promotional messages | Email unsubscribe or privacy contact | Termination of transactional communications |
Use the opt-out guide hub for other providers. Separate cases make it easier to see which company has replied and what each response actually covers.
Write a specific request to the official privacy email
Open the SemantIQ privacy policy and verify the current contact before sending anything. The policy names privacy@semantiqhealth.com for rights requests and targeted-advertising opt-outs. It also refers to a Your Privacy Choices page; this guide uses the explicit email route rather than inventing fields for an unverified form.
Identify yourself and your relationship
Start with your name, a reply email and a short description of the relationship or record. For example, distinguish a professional profile from a platform account or a promotional message. If a specific business address is inaccurate, explain which address and why, without attaching unrelated documents.
SemantIQ says identity verification for applicable requests may involve at least name, email and relationship to the company, matched against existing information. Those are its published examples, not a requirement to send every identifier you possess. Ask for a secure channel if the privacy team needs sensitive evidence for a particular purpose.
State each action you want
Suggested wording: “I am contacting SemantIQ about personal information relating to [professional profile, account or other context]. I request [opt-out, correction or deletion].
Please confirm the scope of the action and explain any information that must be retained. Let me know what verification is needed for this request.”
Adapt the message to your situation and location. If your goal is to stop advertising use, name targeted advertising rather than relying on the word “unsubscribe.” If you want deletion as well, say so explicitly. This sample is editorial guidance, not an official form or a guarantee that all requested actions apply in your jurisdiction.
Keep the message proportionate
- Use the official privacy address shown on the current policy.
- Identify the data or interaction that prompted the request.
- Separate advertising opt-out, deletion and correction goals.
- Include your location when it helps identify the applicable process.
- Keep a copy of the message and any reference supplied in reply.
Do not send patient records, passwords or a complete identity-document bundle to make an ordinary request seem more convincing. A precise professional context can be more useful than excessive personal material. If the company cannot match you, ask which limited additional details would resolve that mismatch.
Know which requests need identity checks

SemantIQ's policy makes a useful distinction: it says opt-out requests do not require verification, while other requests may trigger identity checks. That does not mean an anonymous deletion request can always be completed. Deletion or access may require establishing that the person asking is the person whose data is involved.
If a response asks you to verify an advertising-only opt-out, ask the privacy team to clarify the request category and the policy basis. If you requested both an opt-out and deletion, the verification may relate to the deletion portion. Keeping the two actions distinct makes that exchange easier to understand.
For requests made through an authorized agent, the policy describes proof of authorization. A colleague, family member or service should not imply that it can exercise another adult's rights merely because it knows their details. Follow the current instructions and ask how authorization can be supplied securely.
The policy also discusses opt-out preference signals in specified states and other required circumstances. Browser settings can be relevant to advertising, but they should not be treated as a universal deletion instruction for professional or account information. Keep browser choices and an identified database request in separate parts of your record.
For other healthcare data systems, the Definitive Healthcare guide documents a request center, while the H1 guide covers expert-profile preferences. Neither provider's reply establishes a result at SemantIQ.
Timing, appeals and what can remain
SemantIQ's policy gives up to ten business days for processing commercial-email opt-outs. That statement belongs to promotional communications; it should not be reused as the deadline for every deletion request. Customers may still receive service-related messages after opting out of marketing.
For the state privacy rights process, the policy describes responding within 45 days and up to 90 days for a complex request, with notice of an extension. These are the provider's published response expectations, not a measured turnaround from a request we submitted. Keep verification messages and extension notices with the original case.
If SemantIQ declines to act, its policy says it will explain why and provide appeal instructions. The details can depend on location and the request. Read the actual response rather than assuming a single global appeal deadline. A refusal may need clarification about scope or an exception before you decide the next step.
SemantIQ describes retaining information for service operation, complaints and legal or business needs, then deleting or de-identifying it when no longer needed. The result may therefore differ by category. Ask whether information remains identifiable, whether it is still used for the activity you opposed, and what retention rationale applies.
Later website visits, new interactions and updated professional information can create new processing questions. Keep the original response so you can identify whether a later issue is the same record, another identifier or a new interaction. Reappearance is a reason to investigate the source and scope, not evidence that every earlier request was ineffective.
The healthcare-worker buying guide helps distinguish personal exposure from professional visibility. For supported consumer broker listings beyond this workflow, run a free data broker scan. The scan does not prove SemantIQ coverage or certify the absence of data inside a private platform.
For organizing requests across several providers, use the manual broker-removal checklist to track each request, response and follow-up date.
SemantIQ opt-out questions
Is the email route only for customers?
The policy identifies the privacy email for exercising rights and asking privacy questions, including targeted-advertising opt-outs. Explain whether you are a platform user, professional whose data is involved, or another individual. Do not claim to be a paying customer if that is not your relationship.
Does unsubscribing close my account?
The policy separates commercial communications from service-related messages and other processing. An unsubscribe should not be treated as account closure or deletion. If you want account data addressed, say that separately and ask about service consequences before proceeding.
Must I verify an advertising opt-out?
The policy says opt-out requests do not require verification. Other request types may need identity checks. If the response seems inconsistent, ask which part of your request requires validation and avoid sending sensitive documents without a clear reason and suitable channel.
Can this erase patient information held elsewhere?
This guide covers SemantIQ's published data practices and request route. It does not establish authority over a healthcare provider's medical records. Contact the organization holding the record about correction or privacy rights specific to that information.
What if the company cannot find my record?
Ask what matching information it used and whether your request covered the correct relationship, name or professional affiliation. A no-match response is limited to that search and context. Do not interpret it as proof that every unrelated advertising company has no information about you.
