To opt out of Surfe, open its official Opt Out page and complete the business-contact removal form. It asks for your first and last name, email, phone number, company name, and LinkedIn URL. Surfe also publishes support@surfe.com for privacy-rights requests if the form does not fit your situation.

This Surfe opt out guide reflects the public form and privacy policy checked October 7, 2026. We inspected the fields without submitting personal information. Surfe says it aims to respond within one month; that is a response target, not proof that every customer copy disappears within that period.

What does a Surfe opt out cover?

Surfe provides business-contact information for sales and marketing. Its removal page identifies names, job titles, email addresses, employers, and phone numbers as relevant data. You can therefore have a business profile involved in its service without having purchased a Surfe subscription yourself.

The important distinction is who controls the record. Surfe's policy describes its own database as one activity. Processing information already held in a customer's CRM is another. Removing a record from Surfe's own database does not establish that a sales team deleted an earlier export or its independently collected contact record.

The data broker directory helps organize requests to separate companies. A single request should not be treated as an instruction reaching every provider in that directory.

How do you submit the Surfe removal form?

Use the official Surfe Opt Out page, reached from its website or privacy policy. The page explains that the form is for objecting to processing or removing personal data from Surfe's records. It is separate from the newsletter box farther down the page.

  1. Gather the details associated with the professional record. Prefer the email, company, phone number, and profile URL actually involved in the unwanted contact.
  2. Enter first name and last name in their separate fields. Check spelling and whether the record uses an earlier surname or a shortened first name.
  3. Complete email, phone number, company name, and LinkedIn URL. All six visible identity fields were required in our inspection.
  4. Review the information, complete any displayed anti-abuse check, and submit the removal form. Save any acknowledgement shown after your own submission.
  5. Keep the submission date and watch the mailbox you supplied. Follow a legitimate clarification request if Surfe needs more information to locate your record.

We did not submit the form, so we cannot confirm a particular success message, verification email, or case-number format. A screenshot of the empty intake documents its controls, not an accepted or completed request.

If you no longer control an old work address, explain that through the support route. Do not enter a colleague's address or an invented phone number merely to satisfy a required field. Incorrect identifiers can make a privacy request harder to match.

What should you do when a required field is unavailable?

The Surfe privacy policy gives support@surfe.com as a channel for exercising rights. It includes access, correction, objection, deletion, and restriction, subject to the circumstances described in the policy. This provides a documented alternative when the public form requires information you cannot supply.

State that your request concerns a business-contact record in Surfe's own database. Identify the missing field and explain what you can provide instead. For example, a former employee may know the company and profile URL but have lost access to the old mailbox. Ask how Surfe can verify that request without requiring you to misrepresent account access.

A concise message can identify the affected email or professional profile, request removal and objection to further processing, and ask for written confirmation. Include only the matching information needed for that purpose. If Surfe asks for more evidence, check that the response belongs to the original official conversation before providing it.

There is no need to attach an identity document to the first message based on the form we inspected. We did not observe a public upload field. That does not mean later verification can never be requested; it means the walkthrough cannot prescribe an unobserved requirement.

How long does Surfe removal take?

The form says requests will be processed promptly without specifying a fixed number of days. The policy separately says Surfe strives to respond to legitimate requests within one month. Complex, multiple, or incomplete requests may take longer, with updates to the requester.

Treat those statements as the company's published process, not an independently measured service level. Time spent completing the form depends on whether you already have the identifiers. Waiting for a reply, supplying clarification, and receiving an outcome are separate stages.

Keep a short record containing the submission date, route used, affected identifiers, and reply status. If the stated response period passes without an answer, follow up in the same support conversation and include the original date. Ask whether the request was received, whether matching information is missing, and what remains unresolved.

The general data-broker removal guide explains how to track separate provider requests. This is useful when similar sales messages involve several sources, each with its own acknowledgement and outcome.

Why might sales messages continue after removal?

A continued email does not, by itself, establish that Surfe ignored the request. A sender may already have exported the record, obtained it from another source, or collected it directly. Ask the sender where it obtained the specific address and request its own suppression where appropriate.

Surfe's policy explicitly distinguishes controller and processor activities. That makes customer-held CRM records an important limit of the public opt-out. Ask Surfe which records it addressed rather than assuming its confirmation covers every company that has ever used the service.

For a separately identified enrichment source, use that company's route. Our FullEnrich removal guide covers a different rights portal, while the Enrow opt out guide explains that provider's suppression process. Neither request is automatically completed by sending Surfe a form.

Later changes to your professional details can also complicate matching. If a new address or phone number appears in a subsequent record, keep evidence of that specific identifier and ask whether it falls within the earlier request. Avoid treating a generic marketing email as proof of a new database listing.

How can you check broader exposure?

Start with the record that caused concern and preserve the source information. A useful follow-up checks whether Surfe answered the request, what the answer covers, and whether the original sender has stopped using the contact details. Those are more informative checks than repeatedly submitting the same form without reading the reply.

For wider public people-search exposure, you can run a free data broker scan. A public exposure scan serves a different purpose from verifying a private business database. An empty result cannot certify that Surfe has no information about you, and this guide does not claim automatic coverage of this exact provider.

Keep the opt-out guides hub as a reference for other confirmed sources. Choose the guide matching the company named in the evidence, and retain separate outcomes instead of marking every request complete at once.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy Surfe to request removal?

The inspected opt-out form is public. It does not require signing into a paid account before entering the matching details. Do not confuse sales demo buttons or free-trial links with the removal route.

Is unsubscribing from a newsletter enough?

No. Newsletter preferences concern a particular communication stream. Surfe provides a dedicated objection and removal form for business-contact processing. Use the request that corresponds to the record you want addressed.

Can I leave out my phone number or LinkedIn URL?

The form marked both as required during inspection. If you cannot provide them accurately, use the privacy-policy support channel to ask for an alternative verification method. Do not invent values.

Does a one-month response mean guaranteed deletion?

No. It is Surfe's stated response aim, with qualifications for some requests. Check the actual reply for the action taken, any retained information, and unresolved matching issues.

Does this remove my LinkedIn profile too?

No. The URL helps match a professional record. The Surfe request does not instruct LinkedIn, your employer, or another independent website to delete its original page.

Sources and verification limits

The official opt-out page and privacy policy were checked October 7, 2026. Browser evidence records the public required fields and policy response language. No request, mailbox verification, account cancellation, or successful removal was tested. The instructions describe the observed route and its limits without promising legal eligibility or lasting erasure.
