Request a Telesign opt out or deletion through its privacy form. Separate phone intelligence from cookies and understand verification and request choices.

To opt out of Telesign phone-data processing or request deletion, use the privacy rights form linked from its Privacy Request page. Select the appropriate request type and identify your relationship to the company. Website cookie controls address advertising tracking; they do not replace a request about PhoneID or Intelligence data.

We checked the current notice and provider-linked OneTrust form on October 1, 2026. The form labels its sale opt-out option California only, while the notice describes rights that can vary by location. Enter your real location and use the privacy contact if your situation does not fit the available choices.

What does a Telesign privacy request cover?

Telesign's privacy notice describes digital identity, phone intelligence and communications services. For some activities it handles information for a customer. For others it explains its own processing. That distinction can affect whether Telesign acts directly or directs you to the business whose service you used.

The notice describes phone-related information such as subscriber status, porting history, number deactivation and call-forward detection. It says certain transfers through PhoneID and Intelligence can constitute a sale under relevant state laws. This is a different issue from a public people-search listing with an address displayed on a webpage.

Complete the current privacy form

1. Start at the official request page

Open Telesign's Privacy Request page. It includes a provider-linked OneTrust rights form and a separate button for cookie consent. If the embedded form does not appear, check whether browser settings blocked it before assuming the company has removed its request route.

The form begins with country of residence and relationship choices: End User through a Customer, Marketing Recipient and Job Applicant. Choose the accurate relationship. If your concern arose while using another company's app, it may be an end-user request rather than a marketing unsubscribe.

2. Choose one request type

The form explicitly says each request type requires a separate submission. Choose the outcome you want reviewed, and keep separate records if you later submit a second request. A deletion request is not automatically the same as correcting an inaccurate phone attribute or objecting to a particular use.

The sale option's California-only label should not be bypassed with a false residence. If the privacy notice appears to describe a right for your location that the interface does not offer, contact the privacy team for routing. Explain the mismatch without making an inaccurate declaration.

3. Supply the requested matching details

We observed first name, last name, email, phone number and agent-related controls. The Additional Details field specifically asks people not to enter personal information there. Use the designated identity fields for matching and keep the explanatory text focused on the request context.

The form also shows a declaration and an upload control for supporting documents. Its presence does not mean every requester must upload a government ID. Follow the instructions for your request and provide only the verification or authorization material actually needed.

  • Record the country, relationship and request type you selected.
  • Use an email account you control for correspondence.
  • Keep phone identifiers in the designated field rather than the free-text explanation.
  • Select the correct self-request or authorized-agent option.
  • Save the acknowledgment and any reference after submitting your own request.

Identity verification and processing time

Telesign says it may verify identity, for example through a redacted phone bill or a text message. These are published examples, not steps we completed. If contacted, verify the channel and check what the requested document needs to show before disclosing unrelated account information.

A redacted bill should not expose additional household numbers, payment details or account credentials unless those details are specifically necessary. Ask for clarification if a verification request is broader than the phone record at issue. Never send an account password as proof of identity.

The reviewed public form does not establish one guaranteed deletion completion time. Track any deadline or next step in your acknowledgment. Distinguish a request received, identity verified and action completed: those are separate stages, and one email may not confirm all three.

The notice lists a toll-free rights number, 1 800 850 3485. The linked form also displays privacyoffice-dsr@telesign.com. Those official contact details can help resolve a broken form or routing question, but a call or email alone should not be described as a tested removal outcome.

Why cookie settings are a separate task

The website's Manage cookie consent settings button addresses tracking and cross-contextual advertising. A browser preference can limit certain website disclosures without identifying a phone record held in connection with a customer service. The privacy notice treats those processing contexts separately.

If you want both controls, complete both relevant actions and keep their scopes clear. Do not assume that declining cookies produced a response to a deletion request. Likewise, receiving a privacy-case acknowledgment does not necessarily change the consent state in every browser you use.

A similar distinction between security processing and general website activity appears in the SpyCloud guide. For a separate consumer-data request route, see our LexisNexis opt-out guide. Neither request should be treated as a universal block on all identity or fraud checks.

Follow up without losing the request context

If Telesign directs you to one of its customers, ask which business should handle the request and what Telesign's own response covers. A processor relationship can mean the customer controls the relevant data decision. That does not tell you that a separate Telesign-controlled record was deleted.

If the reply says no matching data was found, check the phone number format and the context of the original service interaction. Numbers can be reassigned, and an old number is not always evidence of current ownership. Provide accurate dates or context if requested rather than claiming someone else's current number.

Keep the final response for future reference. New service interactions or newly received source information can create further processing, so one request is not a guarantee of permanent disappearance from every system. If the same issue recurs, describe the new event and refer to the earlier case.

Our general data-broker removal guide helps organize multi-company requests. The opt-out guides hub contains individual routes. A free privacy scan can find supported public exposure, but cannot inspect private phone-risk decisions or certify Telesign's internal retention status.

Frequently asked questions

Will this stop every verification text?

No. A privacy request is not a universal unsubscribe from all messages sent by other businesses. Identify the sender and the service involved. Account-verification traffic, marketing messages and a privacy request about phone intelligence can involve different controls and responsibilities.

Can I combine deletion and correction in one form?

The inspected interface says each request type requires a separate form submission. Follow that instruction and keep each case reference. If the requests concern the same underlying record, explain that relationship through the appropriate non-sensitive context field or privacy correspondence.

Do I have to upload my full phone bill?

The notice gives a redacted bill as one possible verification method. It does not establish that every request requires a full bill. Follow the actual verification instructions, confirm the recipient and ask which fields must remain visible before sending a document.

What if I am outside California?

Enter your actual country and use request options appropriate to your situation. The notice discusses rights by jurisdiction, while the form's sale option is labeled California only. If the available controls do not fit, ask the privacy team how to exercise the relevant request accurately.

Does deletion prove my number is no longer used for fraud prevention?

A response must be read for its actual scope and any retained categories or exceptions. The existence of a deletion control does not prove that every processing purpose must stop. Ask for clarification about the relevant service and record rather than inferring an outcome from the button label.

Sources and verification scope

This guide is based on Telesign's official privacy notice, request page and linked OneTrust form, checked October 1, 2026. The screenshot records the request-type controls. We did not submit a form, call the company, upload identity documents, complete a CAPTCHA or test a consumer removal.
