Airlines Reporting Corporation Opt Out: ARC Privacy Requests
Request an Airlines Reporting Corporation opt-out or deletion through ARC’s form or email. Check verification, travel records and retention limits.

To make an Airlines Reporting Corporation opt-out or deletion request, use ARC's official Privacy Request Form or email privacy@arccorp.com. Confirm your jurisdiction, choose the action you want and identify the relevant travel-data context.
ARC also lists 1-855-816-8003. A privacy request does not itself cancel a ticket or erase every airline's transaction records.
We checked ARC's current privacy policy and live request portal on October 24, 2026. The portal displayed separate sale/sharing, deletion, advertising, correction, summary and transfer choices. We did not enter traveler data or submit a request. This is a guide to the published process, not evidence of completed deletion or a measured completion time.
Understand ARC's role before choosing an action
ARC describes providing financial settlement between participating airlines and travel agencies. Its privacy policy also describes data products used for transaction reporting, payment processing and other travel-industry purposes. The information at issue may therefore be connected with a ticket purchase or settlement rather than a public name-and-address listing.
Start with the event that led you to ARC: a travel purchase, a privacy notice, an interaction with its website, or a concern about data use. If you need a refund, itinerary change or booking correction, use the travel provider's service channel. A privacy request has a different purpose and should not be relied on to change an active reservation.
| Goal | ARC request option | Separate issue to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Stop sale or sharing | Do Not Sell or Share to a Third Party | Other permitted processing can remain |
| Request deletion | Delete my personal information | Transaction or compliance retention may apply |
| Stop advertising use | Don't use my personal information for advertising | This is not cancellation of a booking |
| Correct a field | Correct my personal information | The airline may control its own record |
| Understand what is held | Summarize my personal information | Identity matching may be necessary |
The opt-out guide hub covers other providers individually. An ARC response should not be treated as a response from every airline, travel agency or advertising service involved in a journey.
Use the official form and check jurisdiction

Start from ARC's privacy policy and follow the linked Privacy Request Form. The form is hosted on a separate request-service domain that ARC itself links to. Following that official link is safer than choosing a similarly named travel company's form from search results.
Confirm the detected location
The portal says it automatically detects jurisdiction and asks you to verify it because available rights differ by location. Our browsing connection produced a German regional location. That is not a location you should copy unless it is accurate for you. Review the portal's setting before deciding which request to start.
A VPN, company network or travel connection can affect detected geography. If the portal cannot represent your situation correctly, use the official privacy email to explain your residence and request. Do not misstate your location to make a particular button appear. The policy is the reference for the routes and rights that may apply.
Choose a specific request category
The initial page presents separate cards for sale or sharing, deletion, advertising, correction, a summary and transfer. Read the description of the action you select. If you want more than one action, explain the scope rather than assuming deletion and advertising preferences are identical.
The deletion form displayed email, first name, middle name where applicable, last name, physical address, city, state, ZIP, country and the last four payment-card digits. It also displayed minor-child and representative options. We left all fields empty and stopped before submission. Follow the current field instructions for your actual request.
Retain evidence of what you asked for
- Save the official policy and request-form addresses.
- Record the jurisdiction and request category you selected.
- Keep the date, your request text and any actual case reference.
- Monitor the contact address used for the request.
- Preserve the final decision and any explanation of retained data.
A form receipt is useful evidence that a request was received. It is not proof that every transaction record, downstream copy or separate travel-provider record has been deleted. Ask for clarification when a response does not identify the action or data category you intended.
Email ARC with the matching information it requests
ARC's policy authorizes email to privacy@arccorp.com and lists a toll-free telephone route. Its data-subject request instructions ask for your name, including middle initial, preferred contact information, the last four digits of the card used to purchase air travel, and a description of the request. They also invite relevant context that helps identify the information.
The card instruction refers to the last four digits, not a full payment-card number, security code or bank login. Do not expand it into a request for sensitive payment credentials. If you did not make a relevant purchase or cannot supply the identifier, explain that and ask how ARC can locate your record through another method.
A concise email can say: “I am contacting Airlines Reporting Corporation about personal information associated with [travel or other relevant context]. I request [specific action].
My residence is [jurisdiction]. Please explain any verification needed, what information the request covers, and any retention exception.” Add the matching details the official route requires without attaching unrelated travel documents.
This is suggested wording rather than an ARC-approved template. Avoid sending complete itineraries, passport scans or information about fellow travelers unless a specific, justified verification step requires it. If further evidence is needed, ask for a secure method and the minimum information necessary to resolve the request.
ARC says it first attempts to verify identity using information it already has and may request additional information. Its policy says additional verification information is used for that purpose and then deleted when verification is complete. We have not tested that process; retain the correspondence and ask questions if an incoming request does not match your original case.
For other commercial datasets, the data broker opt-out list is a useful inventory. The general broker-removal guide explains how to organize separate cases and follow-up checks.
Review retention, downstream copies and future travel
ARC's transaction and settlement role makes scope especially important. A request may affect a particular use of information without eliminating every record needed for an explained operational or legal purpose. Ask the company to distinguish active use, retained records and information that is no longer identifiable.
The policy says it responds to verified requests according to applicable data protection laws. Where an appeal right applies, it says the response will include another email address for an appeal. Use the actual decision and current policy rather than assuming that a refusal is either final in every jurisdiction or automatically unlawful.
An airline or travel agency can hold its own information about the same trip. If that separate record is inaccurate, contact that provider as well. Do not interpret ARC's reply as a promise about systems it does not control. Keeping each organization's response together makes it easier to see whether a remaining issue belongs to ARC or another provider.
Later travel purchases may create new transaction information. A prior deletion request is not a promise that future interactions cannot generate records. If a new concern arises, identify the transaction or activity and ask whether an earlier opt-out remains applicable. This avoids confusing a new transaction with a failure to act on an older request.
For wider personal exposure, the Google information-removal guide covers visible search results, which are a different surface. You can also run a free data broker scan for supported consumer listings. A scan is not proof of ARC coverage or absence from travel settlement systems.
For context on commercial data collection, read what data brokers do. Its explanation of data sourcing helps distinguish a transaction record from a public listing.
ARC opt-out questions
Does a privacy request cancel my flight?
This process concerns data rights and privacy choices. It is not a substitute for booking support, refunds or itinerary changes. Contact the airline or travel agency through its service process if you need a reservation action, and keep the privacy case separate.
Why does ARC ask about payment-card digits?
The policy lists the last four digits as matching information for an air-travel purchase. It does not ask in that instruction for your full card number or security code. If the request is unrelated to a purchase, explain the context and ask what alternative information is appropriate.
Can someone else submit the request for me?
ARC's California additional terms describe authorized agents with proof of authorization and identity verification. Check the procedure for your actual jurisdiction and request. Do not assume that a travel companion or employer automatically has authority to exercise another adult's privacy rights.
Is advertising opt-out the same as deletion?
The live portal offers separate choices. Advertising opt-out addresses use for that purpose, while deletion asks for personal information to be removed subject to applicable limits. State both goals if both matter and read the response for each.
Will ARC remove my information from every travel company?
No universal downstream result was established by our source check. ARC, airlines and agencies can have different responsibilities and records. Ask what recipients or systems the response covers and approach independent controllers through their own privacy channels when needed.
