Buyerlink Opt Out: Buyerlink and AutoWeb Privacy Requests
Opt out of Buyerlink or AutoWeb using the right privacy form. Check deletion, sale/share choices, verification and limits for prior lead recipients.

To opt out of Buyerlink, open its official privacy request form and select the sale/share opt-out, deletion, or both as appropriate. If your information came through AutoWeb, use the AutoWeb-branded form linked from that site's footer. The companies belong to the same group, but their public request routes have different branding. A Buyerlink opt out does not automatically stop every dealer or service provider that already received your inquiry.
We checked the public policies and both request forms on October 30, 2026. We inspected the controls without entering personal information or submitting a request. The steps below describe the available routes, not a completed removal test.
Which request should you make?
Buyerlink connects consumers with businesses through performance marketing. Someone seeking a car, insurance quote or home service may encounter lead collection rather than a public people-search listing. You do not need to find a searchable profile URL before asking the company about its records.
| Your objective | Route to use | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Stop covered sale or sharing | Buyerlink privacy form, opt-out choice | Does not recall every previously delivered lead |
| Ask for held personal information to be deleted | Separate deletion choice in the form | Verification and retention exceptions can apply |
| Address an AutoWeb inquiry | AutoWeb-branded privacy form | Identify the originating website and inquiry |
| Stop a particular business contacting you | That recipient's unsubscribe or privacy route | A parent-company request is not proof the recipient stopped |
| Change browser tracking | Applicable cookie controls or recognized preference signal | Browser choice and identity-based records differ |

Open the form for the relevant company

Start with Buyerlink's privacy policy. Its current notice links the Buyerlink privacy request form. Confirm that the form welcomes you to Buyerlink before entering identifiers.
For an AutoWeb interaction, use the AutoWeb request form reached from its official footer. It identifies AutoWeb, Inc. Do not assume the Buyerlink form automatically covers every AutoWeb record, or send duplicate requests merely because the forms share a hosting service.
Buyerlink's automotive page identifies AutoWeb among its brands. That relationship explains why this guide covers the two routes together. It does not establish that one request reaches every brand or every downstream recipient.
If you cannot tell which company received your inquiry, preserve the original confirmation email, website name and approximate date. Use those details to ask the privacy team to identify the appropriate route. Avoid uploading an entire inbox or unrelated financial paperwork.
Choose your role and request types

The forms start with a role selector. The observed choices include consumer, household, B2B consumer, employee or applicant, authorized agent and other relationships. Select the role that accurately describes your request; choosing consumer on another person's behalf is not a substitute for authorization.
Both forms expose separate choices for deletion, access, correction and opting out of sale or sharing. Choose the action you intend. The nearby opt-in option has the opposite purpose from an opt-out, so review the selection before sending anything.
The Buyerlink form displays an email correspondence field, country, state and phone number. AutoWeb's initially displayed fields differ. Follow the controls actually shown after your role and request selection instead of assuming both forms require an identical set of identifiers.
Use the contact details associated with the original inquiry when accurate. If an old phone number or email is involved, explain that distinction through the available request process. A mismatch may require follow-up; it is not evidence that the company holds no data about you.
Handle verification without oversharing
The forms say additional information may be needed to verify identity or authority. They also explain that attachments are generally optional, while representatives may need proof of authority. An upload control is not an instruction for every consumer to attach a passport or driver's license.
Buyerlink's policy says some deletion requests may involve two steps: submitting the request and separately confirming deletion. Watch the correspondence channel you supplied. Save any request number and respond through a verified company channel if a confirmation is required.
Representatives must identify themselves as authorized agents and supply the required documentation. The policy may also require direct consumer confirmation. Do not send someone else's identifiers through the ordinary consumer route without their permission.
If the online form cannot load, Buyerlink's policy publishes 1-888-821-1041 as a rights-request alternative. This is the policy's number, not a claim that we called it or verified a response. Have the company name and request type ready before contacting it.
What timing does Buyerlink publish?
For California access, deletion and correction requests, the checked notice describes acknowledgment within ten business days and a response within 45 calendar days. It allows a notified extension of up to another 45 days. The same section describes action on sale/share opt-out and sensitive-information limitation requests within fifteen business days.
Those are the company's published, scoped processing statements. They are not a promise that every recipient deletes all records by that date. The AutoWeb form itself refers to the applicable statutory timeframe; do not automatically transfer every Buyerlink policy deadline to a different controller's request.
If you receive only an automated receipt, keep the request open in your own notes. Ask for the final outcome, any retained categories and the reason for a partial denial. A clear response is more useful than repeatedly submitting the same form without reference to the earlier request.
Follow up with prior lead recipients
If a dealership or contractor keeps contacting you, ask that business to stop and identify the source of the lead. A copy already passed to a recipient can require a separate request. Browser cookie controls also do not erase contact details delivered earlier through an inquiry form.
Related automotive records may involve a different business entirely. Use the FordDirect opt-out guide for FordDirect and the DealerSocket guide for that system. Similar industry names do not make the controllers interchangeable.
New inquiries, updated identifiers and separate recipient databases can create further exposure. Keep a simple log of the source website, request date, company response and subsequent contact. For the contact problem itself, our spam-call reduction guide explains complementary steps.
Check your wider exposure
Buyerlink requests address a particular lead-data relationship. For public listings elsewhere, a free privacy scan can help identify additional exposure to investigate. A scan result is not proof that Buyerlink holds a record or that this specific request has been completed.
Use the opt-out guide hub to find the correct process for other companies. Manual requests remain an option; keep each company's response separate so that progress at one organization does not conceal an unresolved record at another.
Your request checklist
- Identify whether the inquiry went to Buyerlink or AutoWeb.
- Use the matching branded form and accurate role.
- Select deletion and/or sale-share opt-out deliberately.
- Complete any legitimate verification follow-up.
- Keep the final response and contact prior recipients separately.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Buyerlink account to start?
The public request form was accessible without a customer login. It still asks you to identify your relationship and may require identity verification before completing a request. Public accessibility does not mean anonymous deletion is supported.
Does the AutoWeb footer lead to the same form?
It leads to a separately branded AutoWeb form on the same privacy-platform host. Use the company-specific route and retain its confirmation. Common hosting alone does not establish shared processing of all requests.
Will opting out stop all car-related calls?
No such outcome is established by the checked sources. Dealers and other recipients may already have their own copies, and new inquiries can generate additional contact. Address those recipients separately when necessary.
Should I upload identification immediately?
Do not treat the attachment button as a blanket identification requirement. Follow the actual verification instructions, check the destination and share only what is needed for your request or representative authority.
Can I request deletion and sale/share opt-out together?
The observed forms present multiple request types. Select the relevant choices and inspect the final instructions. Deletion and future sale/share restrictions are different outcomes, so keep the response for each in your records.
Sources and verification
Last checked October 30, 2026: Buyerlink's official privacy policy, its linked OneTrust intake, the AutoWeb footer and branded intake, and Buyerlink's automotive brand page. Buyerlink's notice displayed an October 12, 2026 update date. Public controls were inspected only; no request, identity verification or removal outcome was tested.
