To opt out of personal-data processing by Clever Dialer, send a specific removal, correction, or objection request to support@cleverdialer.de. Its current website policy also lists privacy@cleverdialer.com for the data protection officer.

For holder details retrieved from an external telephone directory, the policy directs you to that source directory instead. Community ratings and directory-supplied details follow different routes.

This guide was checked on October 15, 2026, against Clever Dialer's live English privacy page and public contact form. We verified the request channels without submitting personal information. If the same number appears elsewhere, use the phone-number removal guide to track those separate sources.

Which Clever Dialer data can you request to change?

Clever Dialer's current website policy identifies Sellwerk GmbH & Co. KG as the controller. It describes community ratings, comments, and a calculated spam score. It separately explains holder information retrieved from public directory services rather than permanently held in its own database.

That distinction matters when writing a request. A correction to a community spam classification is not the same as changing an address in a source directory. Ask which source supplies the field if the page does not make it clear.

The English policy says it is a translation and that the German original controls in a discrepancy. This article uses the published English workflow without presenting its wording as an independent legal ruling. If a response turns on a translation issue, ask the provider to explain the relevant passage.

How to send a manual request

Official public page checked October 15, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

Start with the official Clever Dialer website privacy policy. The rights section names support@cleverdialer.de as the easiest contact for exercising data-subject rights. Type the address carefully or use the official page, rather than an address supplied by a third-party removal advertisement.

1. Identify the record and desired action

Record your phone number with its country code and the exact Clever Dialer page URL. Note whether you want an inaccurate field corrected, community data erased, or processing reviewed following an objection. If more than one issue applies, explain each one in a short separate sentence.

Describe why a classification or personal detail is wrong without submitting more information than the provider needs. For example, a recently reassigned number may need a different explanation from a comment containing a private address. Avoid reposting other people's information in your message.

2. Use email or the public contact form

The official contact form exposes Name, E-mail, Subject, and Message. E-mail, Subject, and Message are marked required; Name is not. The page says the details are used to handle and answer the inquiry.

For a privacy request, make the subject explicit and include the record details in the message. The policy's named support address is useful if the form does not load. We observed the form controls but did not submit them or verify a delivery email.

3. Keep the request narrowly scoped

Ask for written confirmation of the action and an explanation of any remaining data. If the issue involves an external directory, ask which provider supplies it. That question may save a second round of correspondence and helps avoid repeated requests to the wrong organization.

  • Include the exact page or affected number.
  • State the requested action clearly.
  • Explain the specific inaccuracy or privacy concern.
  • Ask whether the field comes from community data or a directory.
  • Save the submission date and any reply or reference number.

Timing and identity-verification expectations

The current policy says Clever Dialer will comply with a rights request without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receipt. Treat this as the provider's published response commitment for the described rights workflow. It is not evidence that a particular listing disappears immediately.

The public contact form does not require a government-ID upload. A later request may need clarification or verification, but the checked pages do not establish one universal document requirement. If asked for additional evidence, verify the sender and ask how to provide only what is necessary.

If you do not receive a useful response, follow up in the same thread with the original date and scope. Ask whether the request was received, whether anything is missing, and which action remains pending. A form submission, an acknowledgment, and a changed source page are separate milestones.

Check the live number page after the provider responds. If a search result still shows old information, compare it with the source page first. The Google information-removal guide explains the separate issue of stale search visibility after a source changes.

External directories and retained information

Clever Dialer's policy names public telephone directories as sources of holder data. It says these details are retrieved in real time and only temporarily cached. Where that model applies, it directs removal or correction requests to the relevant directory provider.

Do not assume the directory named in an example supplies every record in every country. Use the source actually associated with your entry or ask support to identify it. A change at the source and expiry of a temporary cache are different events, so allow the provider to explain what remains visible.

The policy also states that ratings, comments, and associated email addresses are stored while the phone-number entry is provided. It lists a 90-day retention period for the IP address associated with a rating or comment. Those periods describe particular records, not an overall promise that all data disappears on one date.

Inquiries sent by email or contact form may be kept for evidentiary purposes for up to three years, according to the policy. A removed public entry therefore does not establish deletion of every support record. Ask about remaining categories if that distinction matters to your request.

Rechecking exposure after the response

The policy says the spam score is recalculated using current data. A score change, a removed comment, and an erased directory detail are therefore different outcomes. Keep the provider's response so you can check the specific action it agreed to take.

New community activity or unchanged source-directory information may create further exposure. The checked sources do not provide a measured reappearance rate. If information returns, identify whether it is the same record or a new contribution before reopening the request.

The opt-out guide hub organizes other provider-specific routes. For a similar community-comment situation, the tellows removal guide explains another service's separate rules. Do not assume a request to one caller-information platform reaches the other.

For wider people-search listings, run a free data broker scan and review the findings. A scan is not confirmation that Clever Dialer is covered by automated removal. The general data-broker removal guide can help you combine direct requests with a broader follow-up routine.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a one-click Clever Dialer opt-out page?

The verified route is a rights request through the published support address or contact form. The checked policy does not provide a universal one-click removal promise for every community and directory record.

Can I ask for a spam score to be corrected?

Yes. The current policy explicitly includes correction of an inaccurate spam classification. Explain the error and identify the affected number. The provider still needs to assess the request; this article cannot predict the result.

Why might support send me to another directory?

Some holder details come from external directory services. The policy says changes to those details should be made at the source, with displayed results updating after temporary caching expires.

Does deleting a public entry erase my support email?

Not necessarily. The policy describes separate retention for inquiries and other records. Ask what remains if your request concerns more than public visibility, and keep the response for your records.

No request, identity verification, or deletion was completed. Response periods and retention descriptions are the provider's statements, and the article does not claim an independently measured removal result.
