Dataman Group Opt Out: Privacy Form and Email Steps
Request Dataman Group deletion or marketing-data suppression by form or email. Check matching fields, verification, response steps and supplier limits.

To opt out of Dataman Group, use its Privacy Request Form or email privacy@datamangroup.com. The company's consumer-rights page explicitly accepts email requests.
Ask for the action you want, such as deletion and exclusion from future sale or sharing. A form acknowledgment is not the same as confirmation that your information has been suppressed.
We checked Dataman Group's privacy center, rights notice, California notice and blank form on November 5, 2026. No request or personal information was submitted. The current pages describe licensed marketing data and suppression procedures, so this guide does not assume there is a public profile you must search for first.
What Dataman Group can address

The privacy center describes marketing data licensed from third-party providers for customer projects. Its California notice says the company does not maintain a centralized consumer marketing database. That is an important limit: a request may involve searching available records and maintaining suppression rather than deleting a searchable profile page.
The company's role does not make a privacy request pointless. Its form says it will conduct a reasonable search, contact you when more information is needed, and respond under applicable timeframes. It may maintain suppression information to reduce future inclusion in marketing data licensed through its services.
| Your need | Useful action | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Stop future licensing of your information | Request applicable sale/sharing opt-out and suppression | Does not erase every supplier's database |
| Ask what is held | Make an access or information request where applicable | Search and disclosure depend on available records and law |
| Request deletion | Identify the relevant record and ask explicitly | Exceptions or limited retention may apply |
| Correct matching details | Explain the inaccurate identifier | A correction here does not update the original public source |

How to make a Dataman Group privacy request
1. Use the dedicated privacy page
From the privacy center, follow Submit a Privacy Request. The current request form is a public page. It is separate from list-ordering tools, free list-count inquiries and sales forms. Do not request a marketing quote merely to find a route to the privacy team.
Read the short introduction and What Happens Next section before entering information. They explain that the company will search its records and can ask for additional matching information. A request may therefore need follow-up even when the initial form has been completed correctly.
2. Review the visible fields
The form displays first and last name, email, street address, city, state and postal code, with required markers. It also shows a phone field, a human-confirmation control and an accuracy confirmation. Use your own details or act with the appropriate authority for the person concerned.
The blank form did not display an identity-document upload. That does not rule out later verification, but there is no reason to attach an unsolicited document to an initial email. If a visible field is unclear or the form will not load, the published email alternative lets you ask the privacy team how to proceed.
The observed page did not show a clear request-type selector or a free-text explanation field. If your intended action cannot be expressed in the available controls, an email gives you a way to specify deletion, correction or sale/sharing restrictions accurately.
3. Use email when you need to state the scope
The consumer-rights page says you may email privacy@datamangroup.com if you prefer to submit that way. Include your name, a relevant contact or address identifier, your state where relevant, and the exact request. Explain an old-address mismatch if it is central to the record you want addressed.
For example, ask the company to search for information associated with the named address and to explain whether it can delete that information and exclude it from future licensing. Ask for acknowledgment and a written outcome. This is suggested wording for clarity, not a required legal formula.
Avoid attaching identity documents or unrelated records at the outset. The notice allows reasonable identity or authority checks; it does not say every initial request must include a document scan.
4. Verify and retain the response
Dataman says it may request information to verify identity or an agent's authority. Ask which detail needs confirming and which secure method it supports. The identity-verification guide explains why enough information to match a person is different from sharing an entire personal dossier.
- Save the submitted action and date.
- Keep the acknowledgment and any case identifier.
- Answer relevant verification questions through the confirmed channel.
- Record what the final response says about suppression, deletion and exceptions.
If the company cannot find a record, retain that response too. It records the result of a search at that time; it is not a guarantee that future licensed data can never contain a matching identifier.
What happens next, and how long does it take?
The current request page promises an acknowledgment, a reasonable records search and contact if more information is needed. It says the final response follows the timeframe required by applicable law. The pages inspected did not establish a single numerical processing promise for every request, so this guide does not invent one.
If you have not received an acknowledgment, contact the privacy team with your original date and identifiers. Ask whether the request was received, whether verification is incomplete and when to expect a response. Keep one coherent thread where possible rather than sending repeated copies through unrelated sales channels.
The rights page explains that rights vary by state, some have exceptions, and an appeal may be available where the relevant law provides it. If you receive a denial or partial response, ask for the reason and the applicable appeal process. An unclear form field or a browser error is not the same as a formal decision on your request.
This guide describes the published workflow, not an assessment of individual legal rights. We did not measure acknowledgment speed, telephone availability or completed deletion, and the company's statements are not independent proof of those outcomes.
Suppression and why a record can reappear
The California privacy notice explains that an internal suppression record may be retained and used when screening newly licensed marketing data. This is a different function from keeping information available for customer marketing. Ask which identifiers the suppression covers and what happens when your name or address changes.
A later piece of mail may come from an earlier recipient, another supplier or a newly matched record. Preserve its sender and date before deciding what happened. A request to Dataman does not itself change a government source or compel an unrelated business to update its own customer list.
The Mailinglists.com guide covers another list-services business, with a different form-only initial request rule. The DirectMail.com guide addresses another distinct mailing workflow.
Use those procedures only when the company is relevant; these are not claims about the source of your particular mail.
For wider supported public exposure, a CrabClear privacy scan can provide a starting point. It cannot certify what is held in Dataman's nonpublic project records. Combine direct request evidence with your own later observations rather than treating a clean search as proof that all future marketing has stopped.
Keep these direct requests within a broader data-broker removal plan. Track each controller and the identifiers covered so that later marketing can be traced to the relevant unresolved source.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account or order number?
The public request form is accessible without creating a customer account. A consumer may not have an order number because the company describes licensing data for business customers. Provide the relevant matching information rather than purchasing a list or making up a customer reference.
Can I email instead of using the form?
Yes. The current consumer-rights page expressly lists privacy@datamangroup.com for people who prefer email.
That is especially useful when the form does not clearly express your request type or an unclear field blocks progress. Keep the email and the company's reply.
Does Dataman publish a guaranteed completion time?
The inspected pages say requests are handled within applicable legal timeframes. They do not establish one numerical guarantee for every reader. Ask the privacy team for the expected schedule for your request and retain any extension or verification explanation.
Can someone submit on my behalf?
The rights page recognizes authorized agents where applicable and says authority may need verification. The agent should explain its role and follow the company's documentation instructions. A shared household address alone does not establish permission to act for another adult.
Is retaining suppression information inconsistent with opting out?
Not necessarily. A limited suppression entry can help recognize information that should be excluded from future licensing. Ask what is retained, how it is used and what identifiers it covers. Distinguish that response from a claim that every copy was erased.
