To opt out of Data Trust, use Your Privacy Choices from its current privacy policy or call the published privacy-request number, (855) 695-5575. Choose the relevant sale/sharing or deletion request for your jurisdiction. The old do-not-sell URL redirects to the policy; the actual request interface is embedded on the privacy-choices page.

We inspected the notice and blank request interface on November 5, 2026. The deletion branch showed identity, address and phone fields, plus a required proof-of-identity upload. We did not upload documents or submit a request. Ask about verification alternatives before sending a document you do not understand the need for.

What Data Trust holds and what an opt-out means

DT Client Services, LLC operates as Data Trust. Its notice describes datasets used by campaigns, political organizations, nonprofits and other clients. It lists public and third-party sources as well as information collected directly. That scope differs from a public people-search listing you can find and delete with a profile URL.

Use the current Data Trust privacy notice as your starting point. A request to this company concerns its handling of information; it does not automatically change a public voter record or erase a copy held independently by an organization that contacted you.

The opt-out guide hub organizes other company-specific workflows. Keep each response attached to the controller that issued it.

How to reach and complete the privacy request

1. Open Your Privacy Choices

Follow the link from the policy or site footer. The form is embedded and can load separately from the surrounding page.

During inspection, its heading identified it as the Data Trust Consumer Privacy Request Form, hosted by my.datasubject.com. The newsletter signup near the footer is a different form; entering your email there is not a privacy request.

If the embedded interface does not render, use the published toll-free privacy number to ask for an accessible request method. A blank embedded area does not mean the company has no data about you.

2. Check the jurisdiction and request type

The portal automatically detected the research browser's location and asked for confirmation. Check that the selected jurisdiction reflects your actual circumstances. The introductory text says rights depend on eligible residency and applicable law; a displayed menu is not a legal entitlement determination.

Choose deletion if you want stored information removed, or the applicable opt-out choice if you want to restrict advertising, sale or sharing. Available wording can vary by jurisdiction. Do not select a false location simply to expose a different form.

3. Review matching and document requirements

In the deletion branch we inspected, email, first and last name, address line one, city, state, ZIP, phone, request description and proof of identity were marked required. Address line two was optional. There was also a choice for submitting on another person's behalf.

This observed branch is more prescriptive than the notice's general description of checking known information. The notice says additional verification can be sought in some circumstances, including mismatches. Before uploading an identity document, ask which document is acceptable, which details must remain visible and whether an alternative verification method is available through the published phone route.

The identity-verification guide can help you separate a matching question from a proof-of-authority requirement. Do not use another person's document or send sensitive files to an unverified email address.

4. Keep the case and outcome separate

Submit only once you understand the request and verification requirements. Save the date, scope and any receipt. If further verification arrives, confirm that it belongs to the same case and official channel before responding.

  • Record the request type and actual jurisdiction.
  • Keep the identifiers covered by the request in your private records.
  • Preserve the acknowledgment and any additional-information request.
  • Ask the final reply to distinguish deletion, suppression and exceptions.

We did not test the post-submission screens, response delivery or a removal result. A blank-form inspection supports the instructions above, not a claim that Data Trust completed a request.

Timing, verification and appeal notes

For California requests to know, delete or correct, the notice describes acknowledgment within ten days and an intended response within 45 days, with a notified extension up to another 45 days. It separately states 15 business days for sale/sharing opt-outs and sensitive-information limits. Nevada's section describes a different verified-request response window. Apply the section relevant to your request rather than using one number for everyone.

Agents may need signed authorization or other proof of authority. Some requests can require further questions or attestation when the supplied information does not match. An initial form selection does not remove these later conditions.

The notice's additional-state section provides an appeal route through the request form or the same toll-free number. If a request is denied, keep the reason and ask how to appeal under the procedure applicable to you. Do not assume an error loading the form is a formal denial.

This is a description of the company's procedure, not an assessment of individual legal rights. Published timelines and historical request totals are not a promise of your individual outcome, and this guide does not use those totals as a success-rate claim.

What may remain after a request

The notice describes retention for stated purposes and legal obligations. It also allows deletion exceptions and explains that some requests can be fulfilled only in part. Ask which categories remain and whether they can still be used for the activity you wanted to stop.

Public sources and independent recipients are another boundary. If a campaign keeps contacting you, preserve the sender information and ask it directly about its own contact preferences and data source. Removing information from a vendor does not itself cancel a voter registration or make an official record private.

The Catalist guide and Aristotle guide describe separate political-data workflows. Use them when those companies are relevant; their existence does not imply shared ownership or that they supplied your specific record.

For public-profile exposure beyond this direct request, start with a CrabClear privacy scan. It cannot verify Data Trust's nonpublic datasets. A broader data-broker removal plan should track company responses and public findings separately, especially when a record later appears under an older address or name.

Frequently asked questions

Why did the old opt-out link open a privacy policy?

That was the redirect observed during this check. Use the current Your Privacy Choices link in the notice or footer. A policy page describes rights, while the embedded portal is where you select a request; the two pages serve different functions.

Must every Data Trust request include an ID upload?

We observed a required upload on the deletion branch shown to our browser. We did not verify every jurisdiction or request type. The policy describes conditional verification, so clarify the requirement and alternatives through the official privacy channel rather than assuming all requests have identical fields.

Does Global Privacy Control delete my record?

The notice describes a browser/device advertising preference and says the setting needs to be applied across relevant devices and browsers. That is not the same as a matched deletion request. Use the privacy form or phone procedure for the separate record-level action.

Will deletion stop all political calls or mail?

Not necessarily. Other organizations may hold information independently, including from public sources. Identify the sender and ask about its own record and permissions. A Data Trust response should not be read as a promise covering every campaign or vendor.

What should I do if the form's country is wrong?

Correct it to your actual jurisdiction where the interface allows. If the available options do not fit your circumstances, use the privacy phone contact for guidance. Do not submit inaccurate information to gain access to a request type.
