Focus USA Opt Out Guide: Submit a Privacy Request
Use the Focus USA privacy form to request deletion or opt out. Check matching fields, identity verification, agent authorization and follow-up steps.

To opt out of Focus USA, open its Your Privacy Choices form and select Opt-Out. Select Delete as well if you want to request deletion of existing information. The form says it needs a matching name and address or email. Its visible required fields may ask for more than that matching rule suggests.
We inspected the public form and consumer-rights notice on October 20, 2026. We did not submit personal information or measure a removal result. This guide explains the current intake and how to document your own request without assuming that a confirmation equals complete erasure.
Choose the right privacy request
Focus USA describes two different activities: licensing consumer information and providing services to business clients. Its consumer-rights notice covers the first activity. A cookie preference on its website or a request to a business customer may concern a different set of information. Identify which record or marketing contact you want addressed.
| Action | Purpose | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Opt-Out | Stop applicable sale or sharing | Select the explicit option |
| Delete | Request erasure of held information | Identity checks and exceptions |
| Access or Correct | Inspect or fix information | May be better before deletion |
| Appeal | Review a denied request | Use the original case reference |
The form permits separate choices for access, correction, deletion and opting out. Asking to stop future sale or sharing is different from asking to erase a record already held. If you need to see the information before deciding what to delete, consider requesting access first. Keep that sequence explicit rather than sending contradictory instructions.
Use the opt-out guide hub when the company you need is a different operator. Similar mailing lists do not establish common ownership or a shared privacy-request system.
Complete the official Focus USA form

Open the privacy page directly
Visit Your Privacy Choices and confirm the domain before entering information. The page also discusses bulk requests for third-party providers. An individual request belongs in the consumer form; the API and SFTP guidance is not a shortcut a consumer needs to configure.
Review matching and contact fields
The inspected form displays first and last name, street, city, state, ZIP and email fields. It also has additional email and phone fields. The introductory text says matching can use name plus address or email, but several address fields are visibly required.
Do not invent an address to satisfy validation. Ask the published privacy contact for help if the required fields cannot accurately describe your record.
Use identifiers connected to the information you want removed. An unrelated new email address may receive replies but may not identify a historical marketing record. Separate a contact address from the identifier being searched when asking support for clarification. Avoid adding every past address or number unless it helps identify the relevant information.
Select the scope and requester role
Choose the privacy actions you want. Answer whether you are submitting for another person. Focus USA says agents must provide signed authorization; a family relationship alone is not evidence that someone has authorized a request. If you are acting for yourself, use the individual route and review any conditional fields it displays.
- Confirm that your matching details are accurate.
- Check the requested actions individually.
- Complete the displayed arithmetic CAPTCHA yourself.
- Save the request date and any acknowledgement or reference.
The public page can be inspected without sending anything. We did not test submission, email delivery or the provider's response. If you encounter an error, record the error text without exposing entered identifiers in a public screenshot.
Verification, timing and appeals
The consumer-rights notice says access, correction and deletion can require identity verification. It also says availability can depend on jurisdiction. The form's existence does not establish that every right is available to every person. Use your actual location and request clarification if the response applies a different location or record category.
Neither inspected intake page gave a universal removal completion date that we could validate. Record submission, verification and response dates separately. A request awaiting identity checks is different from one accepted for processing. Ask for the applicable response period and whether the request is complete instead of assuming an arbitrary number of days has started.
For a denial after using the Privacy Center, the notice provides privacy@focus-usa.com as the appeal address. It specifically tells readers to use the center before contacting that address about a request. Include the original reference, the decision and the narrow issue you want reviewed.
Ask whether a denial concerns matching, verification, eligibility or an exception.
An appeal should add useful clarification, not repeat a large bundle of sensitive documents. If additional proof is requested, verify the destination and ask how to provide the minimum necessary evidence securely. Keep an unredacted copy of your correspondence privately and redact it before sharing elsewhere.
What deletion and suppression do not prove
Focus USA says it may keep a record of a deletion request to help prevent the information from being used again. That limited suppression record is different from an active marketing profile. Ask what information remains and what it is used for if the response is unclear. Do not demand that a suppression record be removed without understanding the effect on future matching.
The notice also describes regular data refreshes. A new address, email or upstream source can create a new matching problem. A later marketing message is a reason to investigate, not automatic proof that this specific company ignored your request. Save the sender, date and visible identifiers so you can ask which source supplied them.
For broader context, how data brokers collect information explains why separate companies may hold similar records. The Acxiom removal guide covers another provider's independent process. Do not assume that completing either request also completes the other.
For a separate marketing-list intermediary, the JDM List Services guide explains how vendor and client records affect a request. It illustrates why similar marketing activity does not establish a shared removal process.
Check the outcome without creating new exposure
After a response, compare the stated action with what you asked for. A useful confirmation names the request type and the information or categories addressed. A generic acknowledgement only proves receipt. Where there is no public consumer lookup, ask for a written explanation of completion rather than buying a marketing list to search for yourself.
Keep a small private log: operator, submitted identifiers, requested action, verification date, response and next follow-up. Do not put full details into a public spreadsheet or paste support correspondence into an online review. Your log should help you explain a repeat issue without republishing the information you want removed.
Use the data-broker removal checklist to coordinate separate requests. If you want to investigate wider public exposure, a free exposure scan can be a starting point. A scan result is not a certificate that Focus USA holds no internal or non-public records.
Focus USA opt-out FAQ
Can I use email instead of the form?
The current consumer notice directs initial requests to the Privacy Center. It gives privacy@focus-usa.com for appeals after that process, while the form also lists it for questions. Use the form first when it works, and describe an accessibility or validation problem accurately if you need help.
Do I have to provide every optional identifier?
No universal need to provide every optional field was established. Start with accurate matching information and required fields. Ask about an unclear requirement rather than supplying invented details or unrelated sensitive records. The visible address requirements and introductory matching rule should not be treated as identical.
Does rejecting cookies remove my marketing record?
Cookie choices concern browser activity and are separate from the named consumer request. If your aim is to stop sale or sharing of a marketing record, select the relevant option in the privacy form. Keep a separate record of any cookie preference you change.
Can an authorized agent submit the request?
The notice permits agents with signed authorization. The form asks whether you are acting for someone else. Verify the current conditional requirements before sending documents; do not assume an account at a removal service by itself satisfies every provider's authorization process.
Will this remove information from every mailing list?
No. This is a request to Focus USA concerning its own applicable activities. Customers, source providers and other list businesses can require separate contact. Ask about recipients when relevant, then use the correct operator's process for each additional record.
Sources and verification limits
The official form and Consumer Rights Privacy Notice linked above were inspected on October 20, 2026. The notice displayed a July 9, 2025 update date. Screenshots document the public intake, not an accepted request or a successful removal. Legal rights depend on applicable circumstances; this is a practical navigation guide, not an individual legal determination.
