Ogury Opt Out Guide: Device IDs and Privacy Requests
Follow Ogury’s opt-out instructions for device IDs, ownership evidence and its DPO inbox. Understand verification, timing and scope limits.

To request an Ogury opt out or deletion, use its User Choice Portal instructions and email dpo@ogury.co. The current route requires the right you want to exercise, relevant device or browser identifiers, a signed ownership statement and a screenshot showing each identifier. A name and email alone do not identify the advertising records described by this workflow.
This Ogury opt out guide is based on public provider pages checked September 26, 2026. We verified the published email route and its requirements without sending personal information. The portal explains submission and identity matching; it does not prove that any particular request will succeed or finish within a fixed number of days.

What information does this request cover?
Ogury’s advertising privacy policy distinguishes technical identifiers from information that directly names a person. Those identifiers allow a browser or device to be recognized for advertising activity. The policy also separates Ogury’s own advertising processing from partners’ activities and work performed on a client’s behalf.
This matters because a request using your everyday email as the only matching detail may not locate the relevant advertising data. The email address is a way to correspond about the case. The device or browser identifier is the matching information the portal asks you to supply.
| Item | What the current portal asks for | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Requested right | State the action you want | Deletion, access and objection have different scopes |
| Identifier | Supply each relevant technical ID | Matching is not based on your name alone |
| Platform | Identify iOS, Android or browser for each ID | An ID must be interpreted in its proper context |
| Ownership evidence | Signed statement and identifier screenshots | The provider checks authority over the data |
| Correspondence | Email dpo@ogury.co | Keep a record of the request and replies |
For corporate website data or business communications, a different notice may apply. Start with the advertising User Choice Portal only when that is the processing you intend to address. A newsletter unsubscribe is not the same action as a technical-identifier privacy request.
How do you find the identifier Ogury needs?
Open the official User Choice Portal and read Step 1 before changing device settings. The page gives separate instructions for mobile applications and internet browsers. Each browser or device can have its own identifier, so one request should make clear which environments it concerns.
Android advertising identifier
The portal directs Android users to their device manufacturer’s instructions for locating the advertising ID. Menus vary by device and operating-system version. Follow the current manufacturer guidance rather than assuming a menu path from an old screenshot still applies.
iOS identifier
Ogury’s page says a third-party tool is needed to locate an IDFA on iOS. That statement does not establish that every app claiming to reveal an IDFA is trustworthy or that an identifier is available in every permission state. If you cannot obtain it safely, ask the DPO for an alternative matching method before installing an unfamiliar tool.
Browser identifier
The portal provides a link intended to display the browser identifier. It explains that an identifier may not appear when third-party cookies are blocked. Ogury says the affected advertising data is then anonymized after the ad is served, leaving no corresponding user data for that request route.
Treat that as the provider’s explanation of its workflow, not proof that every advertising company has stopped processing data in the browser. Do not weaken privacy settings merely to make an identifier appear. If the output is blank, describe the browser and problem to the DPO and ask what can be checked.
How do you prepare and send the request?
The portal’s third step instructs you to email dpo@ogury.co. State the right or rights you want to exercise, then list the identifiers and corresponding platforms. Use a readable structure so the recipient can distinguish a phone identifier from a browser identifier without guessing.
Ogury also asks for a signed sworn statement confirming that you own the device used to obtain the identifiers and the email address used for the request. It asks for a screenshot displaying each identifier. These requirements are important enough to review directly on the provider page before you send anything.
- State whether you seek deletion, access, objection or another available action.
- Pair each identifier with its device or browser platform.
- Follow the current signed ownership-statement requirement.
- Attach the relevant identifier screenshots after checking them for unrelated data.
- Keep the sent message and all follow-up correspondence together.
A focused screenshot should show the relevant identifier and context without exposing notification previews, messages or unrelated account details. Do not publish that screenshot in a public forum. Advertising identifiers are part of the matching evidence and deserve private handling even when they are not names or email addresses.
The portal says additional information, potentially an identity-card copy, may be requested if Ogury has reasonable doubts about identity. That is a conditional verification possibility, not an instruction to attach an identity card to every initial request. Confirm the channel and purpose if further evidence is requested.
What happens after submission?
Ogury says it processes complete requests without undue delay. The inspected portal does not give one numeric completion promise for every request type and jurisdiction. Preparation, identity checks and the final action are separate stages, so a sent message is not evidence that deletion is complete.
If the response asks for a missing identifier or an ownership statement, address that specific gap. Repeating the original email without the missing matching information may leave the same problem unresolved. Ask for clarification if the request cannot be matched, and keep the explanation of what was checked.
An authorized representative should establish the authority needed for the particular request rather than sending someone else’s technical IDs without context. The published individual-device workflow does not prove that a generic agent letter is sufficient for every case. Ask the DPO how to document representation when that applies.
When you receive a substantive response, record the identifiers covered and the action taken. A response concerning one browser should not be read as covering every phone, browser profile and app you use. Equally, a no-data response may mean the supplied identifier could not be matched; it does not establish that no other provider holds advertising information about you.
Can tracking or advertising data appear again?
A later browser profile, newly assigned advertising identifier or renewed interaction with an advertising-supported app may create a different data context. That is why the portal tells users to repeat the process for each browser and device. Keep an inventory of what you actually included rather than assuming the email address links all environments together.
Provider-level deletion and device privacy settings also address different layers. Review app permissions and browser choices separately, but avoid treating a setting change as confirmation that historical provider data has been deleted. The exact result depends on the scope of the response and subsequent activity.
Related workflows include Adsquare’s mobile-data privacy process and InMobi’s opt-out instructions. Their identifiers and forms should be checked independently. The data broker opt-out list helps organize those separate requests, and the opt-out guide hub provides more provider routes.
For a separate look at publicly searchable contact information, run a free data broker scan. A scan of people-search exposure does not inspect Ogury’s advertising systems or verify this request’s completion. The general removal guide explains how to keep broader follow-up work organized.
Frequently asked questions
Can I opt out using only my name?
The current portal says Ogury needs technical identifiers to locate the advertising data in this workflow. Your correspondence email alone does not substitute for the requested device or browser matching information.
Do I need a screenshot of my passport?
The initial published requirement is a screenshot showing each identifier, plus the signed ownership statement. Additional identity evidence may be requested if doubts remain. Do not confuse those two stages.
Why is no browser identifier displayed?
Ogury says blocking third-party cookies can prevent an identifier from appearing. Ask its DPO about your situation rather than disabling privacy protections solely to create a matchable identifier.
Will the request remove all advertising?
The workflow concerns data and privacy rights. It is not a promise that every ad disappears. Contextual advertising and other providers’ activities can remain outside the scope of the request.
Does resetting an advertising ID delete the old data?
A reset changes the identifier used going forward. It is not a documented confirmation that a provider erased information associated with an earlier ID. Clarify the old identifier and requested action when corresponding with the provider.
Sources and verification
Checked September 26, 2026: Ogury’s User Choice Portal and Advertising Privacy Policy. The public screenshot documents the official route, not a consumer submission. No email, identifier, ownership statement, identity document or request was sent. Processing time and removal outcomes were not measured.
