Semasio Opt Out: Cookie Controls and Privacy Requests
Use Semasio’s Privacy Center for cookie-based opt-outs. Check request types, access email verification, browser resets and the separate Samba TV scope.

For a Semasio opt-out, open its Global Privacy Center in the browser you want to address. Choose the relevant objection, sale/sharing or consent-withdrawal option and your country. Semasio says its platform needs an active cookie ID or its privacy-center process to locate cookie-based data. A name-only email is not a substitute for that browser-linked request.
We checked the live center and platform policy on October 26, 2026 without submitting a request. Semasio is a Samba TV company, but this guide covers its separate advertising platform controls. The existing Samba TV guide addresses viewing-data and television-related choices; do not assume either workflow automatically completes the other.
Choose the right Semasio privacy route
The platform policy describes audience, online identifier and advertising-related processing. It separately points corporate-website and business-relationship information to a business services policy. Identify the relationship before choosing a form. Someone contacting Semasio about employment records has a different problem from a browser user objecting to platform profiling.
| Goal | Current route | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Object to platform processing | Global Privacy Center objection choice | Cookie-based identification |
| Stop sale or sharing | Global Privacy Center sale/sharing choice | Repeat where browser or device scope differs |
| Withdraw consent | Privacy Center consent option | Read current jurisdiction and scope language |
| Receive information | Separate access/information section | Email verification has a stated time window |
| Business or employment rights | privacy@semasio.com | Identify the relationship rather than relying on an ad cookie |
The policy offers a platform opt-out regardless of location, while other rights can depend on jurisdiction. Use your real country. Do not choose a different residency to unlock a form option. If the choices do not match your situation, ask the privacy contact how to proceed.
Use the Global Privacy Center

Start in the relevant browser
Open the Semasio Global Privacy Center from the browser whose cookie-based data you want addressed. It explains that names and unhashed email addresses are not direct identifiers in the platform system. Its lookup therefore relies on its own cookie context or a supplied active cookie ID.
A fresh private window may not carry the cookie used during previous browsing. Likewise, a different browser on the same computer may represent a separate identifier. An empty result in a new session is not proof that the older browser's data was deleted.
Select the request and country
The observed request menu offered an objection to processing, a sale/sharing opt-out and withdrawal of consent. The page groups this area under withdrawal, deletion and opt-out requests. Read its current explanation rather than treating every label as a promise of identical legal or historical-data effects.
Choose the request that matches your goal and select your country. Review any browser-detection result before proceeding. We inspected the controls but did not execute them. If your result says no cookie was found, record that outcome accurately; do not relabel it as a verified removal.
Keep the saved browser choice
Semasio warns that clearing cookies, switching browsers or clearing the cookie cache can require another opt-out. Its page also notes that anti-tracking tools can affect the process. If a control is unavailable, ask support for a supported route before broadly changing security settings or sending additional identity data.
Keep the confirmation and the browser context together. A general website cookie banner is a separate interface from the platform request center. Rejecting optional corporate-site cookies does not document completion of the platform action you selected.
Access requests, verification and timing
The access/information section asks for an email address to receive the report and says the cookie ID is linked to it for fulfilling that request. It states that the verification email must be confirmed within 24 hours; otherwise a new request is needed. After verification, the center says the data copy will be sent within 24 hours.
Those windows describe the access workflow, not an independently measured time to complete every deletion or objection. We did not request a report. If you use the route, watch for the verification email and retain its timestamp. Avoid forwarding the resulting data file to public support forums or unrelated services.
The Semasio platform policy explains identifier and rights scope. For business or employment matters, the center directs you to privacy@semasio.com. State which relationship is involved so a corporate record request is not mistaken for a cookie lookup.
For related advertising controls, the Sojern guide distinguishes access, deletion and advertising choices. The Roqad guide covers a different identity-graph request form. These are separate companies and separate records, not interchangeable ways to submit a Semasio request.
Verify the response and keep a useful record
A form submission, email acknowledgement and completed request are three different events. Save the date and the wording of the action you requested. If a response says only that a ticket was created, leave the case marked pending. Wait for a response that identifies the action actually taken and the records or identifiers it covers.
Keep this record somewhere private. It should contain the official contact route, the request type, a masked identifier and any case number. There is no need to put a full advertising ID, home address or exported data file into a public discussion. If you share a screenshot with support, remove unrelated browser tabs and information about other people.
- Record whether you requested access, deletion, an advertising opt-out or more than one action.
- Note the specific browser, device or account involved so you can repeat a check in the same context.
- Watch the reply address and spam folder for a verification message or a request for clarification.
- Save the outcome separately from the initial acknowledgement, including any exception or retained-data explanation.
When a response is incomplete, reply on the existing case with the missing scope. For example, ask whether an advertising preference was saved and whether the separate deletion request was completed. Repeated new submissions can make it harder to connect the answer to the original identifier. Keep a clear chronology instead of interpreting silence as success.
The public pages checked for this guide do not establish a measured end-to-end removal time. Do not turn an estimate for filling in a form into a promise about processing. Follow any deadline or verification window in the provider's response.
If it refuses part of your request, ask for the reason and the applicable escalation or appeal route. Availability depends on your location and the request involved.
What to check if data or targeting returns
A later advertisement does not, by itself, prove that a privacy request failed. Advertising can be contextual, delivered by a different company, or associated with another identifier. Compare the same scope before drawing a conclusion. A browser preference, an email-linked record and a mobile advertising identifier can represent different pieces of the problem.
Review the apps, websites or accounts that supplied the data as well as the receiving company's response. A request sent to one recipient does not establish what every other recipient holds. If you recognize the original publisher or service, use its own privacy settings or rights process for that relationship. Keep those case records separate so the answers remain understandable.
For named broker listings, a free data broker scan can help identify a separate public-exposure task. It is not a test of whether this provider erased a cookie, device identifier or internal audience record. Do not buy a removal subscription solely on the assumption that it covers the workflow in this guide; check the current supported sources and exclusions first.
The opt-out guide hub helps you find other provider-specific routes. Work from the companies actually connected to your information, rather than sending the same detailed identity packet to every company on a list. A targeted request is easier to verify and avoids sharing unnecessary personal details.
If you are organizing several requests, the general broker-removal guide provides a broader sequence. Keep Semasio’s cookie-based steps distinct from name-based people-search removals.
Frequently asked questions
Can a removal service send only my name?
The privacy center says the platform needs its cookie-based process or an active cookie ID. It also directs third parties to send the individual to the center. Confirm what a service can actually do before assuming its authorization overcomes this identifier requirement.
Is Semasio the same workflow as Samba TV?
No single shared workflow was established by our check. The Semasio policy identifies the parent relationship, but its platform uses its own center and cookie controls. Complete the relevant process for each service involved and keep separate confirmations.
Should I clear cookies before opting out?
Clearing cookies can remove the context used to locate a record or retain an opt-out. Read the provider's current instructions first. If you already cleared them, explain that to support rather than inventing a cookie ID or assuming the historical record vanished.
What if I miss the access verification email?
The center says confirmation is required within 24 hours and a new request is needed after that window. Check your spam folder and the address you supplied. This rule concerns access-report delivery and should not be generalized to every privacy request.
Does a successful opt-out stop every advertisement?
No. It concerns the processing described by the provider and the relevant identifier. Contextual advertisements and other companies' activity may continue. Judge the request by its confirmation and scope, not simply by whether advertisements remain visible.
