To opt out of Urban Science selling or sharing your information, use its official opt-out form or call 800-321-6900. For deletion and other privacy rights, the current policy also lists privacy@urbanscience.com. This Urban Science opt out guide explains the visible form fields, its automotive-data context, and the difference between a sale/share preference and deleting every record.

The public form and full browser-rendered privacy policy were checked September 20, 2026. No consumer request was submitted. We verified the published route and controls, not successful processing of an individual's request.

Urban Science serves automotive manufacturers and dealers. Its privacy policy describes commercial information such as purchases or products considered, alongside other personal-data categories. Do not assume its data is a publicly searchable name-and-address profile simply because a privacy request is available.

The opt-out topic hub helps you find the relevant process for each company. Automotive analytics, people-search listings and supplier records can require different identifiers and different follow-up questions.

Complete the sale and sharing form

Use the official opt-out page

Open Urban Science's opt-out form. The page is headed Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and introduces California rights. It also points to the wider privacy policy and gives a telephone alternative.

Read the form's scope before submitting. The blank page does not present a deletion/access request-type menu. If your goal includes deletion or another right, state it through the policy's email or phone channel rather than assuming this particular submission asks for every available action.

Enter enough information to match the record

The inspected form marks first name, last name and email as required. It also displays street address, city, state or region, postal code and phone fields without the same required markers. Optional information can still matter for matching a record; only provide what is relevant to your request.

The page says missing information can prevent identification and processing. It also states that information supplied for this opt-out will be used for that request. This describes the submitted request data, not a promise that all pre-existing information in other systems has already been erased.

  • Open the provider-owned opt-out page.
  • Enter the required name and email details.
  • Add relevant matching information when needed.
  • Read the communications statement near the submission control.
  • Submit your own request and save any acknowledgement.
  • Keep the request date and scope for later follow-up.

The form displays a communications-consent statement and a checkbox control. Review the live wording rather than assuming the request signs you up for unrelated marketing or that every control is mandatory. Our inspection did not submit the form or test the consent control's effect.

Record what you actually requested

Keep a private copy of the request scope. A confirmation of a sale/share opt-out should not be relabeled as confirmation of deletion. If you ask for additional actions by email, reference the form request and explain the extra action clearly.

The manual broker-removal guide explains how to track those separate outcomes. This is particularly useful when a provider offers one narrow public form and several broader rights through a privacy contact.

Request deletion or other rights separately

The Urban Science privacy policy describes access, correction, deletion and relevant opt-out rights, depending on residence and circumstances. Its state-rights submission section lists the contact form, privacy@urbanscience.com and 800-321-6900.

The telephone hours in that section are Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 17:00 United States Eastern Time, excluding holidays. If you call, ask how to obtain a written reference and how to complete any verification securely.

For email, describe the personal data, the relevant automotive or account context, and the action you want. These are suggested matching details rather than a provider-mandated template. If you have a dealer message or a record reference, explain its relevance without forwarding unrelated sensitive documents.

The general policy excludes sites governed by separate terms and identifies a separate career-site policy. A job-application request may therefore need a different notice. A dealer or manufacturer can also have its own obligations and records; contacting Urban Science does not automatically contact those organizations.

Verification, agents and response handling

The policy says it may request information to match your identity against its records and may ask for a written declaration in some circumstances. It also describes requirements for authorized agents, including permission and direct verification. Those are provider statements, not proof that every opt-out uses the same verification steps.

Wait for a specific verification request before sharing sensitive identity evidence. Confirm the official sender and ask for a secure, proportionate method. The visible opt-out form did not contain a document-upload field, so uploading an identity document is not an observed initial step.

The checked form and state-rights section did not establish one universal completion period. Save any timeframe supplied in your acknowledgement. If a response is delayed, ask whether the request is received, awaiting verification, denied or completed.

The policy describes appeals using the original request method or options given in the response. Eligibility can vary. This guide explains where the provider routes requests; it does not provide individual legal guidance or determine which statute applies to your record.

Why browser controls and automotive records differ

Urban Science's policy distinguishes personal information collected through the website from commercial information involved in its data services. Its state disclosure says certain California commercial information may be sold or shared, while its website-data statement describes a different scope.

The policy says the site does not recognize opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control because of that website-data treatment. Do not rely on a browser setting alone as proof that a request covering automotive commercial records has been submitted. Use the published request route for those records.

For context, what data brokers do explains why web browsing, customer relationships and licensed datasets can be separate sources. The Arity opt-out guide covers another automotive-related privacy workflow, and the LightBox guide covers a different commercial-data setting. Neither link implies that those companies hold your particular record.

Retention, reappearance and practical follow-up

Urban Science describes retention for operational, contractual, legal and other stated purposes. A sale/share opt-out is not a guarantee that all data is destroyed. A deletion response may also describe exceptions. Ask what remains and how the preference applies to future processing if the response is unclear.

Later dealer interactions or changes in your contact information may create new records or matching issues. The checked source did not establish a universal permanent suppression promise across every future data source. Keep your confirmation and identify any later record precisely rather than resubmitting a vague request.

A provider acknowledgement cannot confirm that a dealer, manufacturer or another recipient deleted its independent copy. If your concern is a marketing message from a specific sender, address that sender's own privacy or unsubscribe route too.

Use the data broker opt-out list for other relevant requests. A free privacy scan can help find supported public exposure, while the Google removal guide explains search visibility. Neither is a comprehensive inspection of private automotive analytics databases.

Frequently asked questions

Is the opt-out form a deletion form?

Its visible title and text concern sale or sharing. The policy separately offers routes for deletion and other rights. State those additional actions through the privacy email or telephone route and ask the reply to address them explicitly.

Do I have to enter my street address?

The inspected form marks first name, last name and email as required. Address and other fields are visible without the same required markers. The provider warns that insufficient matching details can prevent processing, so assess relevance rather than supplying unrelated information.

Can I request by phone?

Yes. The form and policy publish 800-321-6900. The policy's state-rights section gives weekday Eastern Time hours. Ask for written confirmation or a reference so you can follow the request's progress.

Will changing cookie settings opt out my automotive data?

Do not assume so. Website technologies and automotive commercial records are distinct contexts in the policy. Use the documented form, email or telephone route for the records you want addressed.

How can I tell whether the request succeeded?

Look for a response specifying the action completed and any retained-data limits. Receipt, identity verification, sale/share preference and deletion are different outcomes. No consumer completion was tested for this article.

Sources and last check

The official opt-out page and full browser-rendered privacy policy were checked September 20, 2026. Browser inspection supplied the state-rights section that was incomplete in a reader representation. The screenshot shows public request controls; no personal data, request submission or removal result was generated.
