CallApp Opt-Out Guide: Unlist Your Number and Delete Data
Unlist your phone number from CallApp and request deletion. See the official form, email confirmation, account choices, and retention limits.

To opt out of CallApp's caller lookup, open its official Unlist Phone Number page and enter your number with the country code plus a contact email. Submit the form and follow the confirmation email. For deletion, account closure, or a sale opt-out, use the separate instructions below: hiding a number from lookup does not mean every retained record has been erased.
We checked CallApp's public form, policy, and help pages on October 12, 2026. We did not submit a number or test a removal outcome. The visible interface and the provider's retention explanation are both relevant to choosing the right request.
Decide what you want to change
CallApp combines caller identification with app features such as call blocking. A person may want to remove a number from lookup without being a current app user. An existing user may instead want to stop using the service and address the data associated with that account.
Those goals can require different actions. Before submitting anything, write down whether you want to change number visibility, close an account, restrict sale or advertising use, or request deletion. A specific request is easier to assess than a general instruction to remove everything from the internet.
| Goal | Official route | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Hide a name and number from CallApp lookup | Unlist Phone Number form | Visibility restriction is different from erasure |
| Close an existing account | In-app deactivation or support email | Check the final response for retained data |
| Request deletion or correction | support@callapp.com | Verification and legal retention may apply |
| Exercise a sale opt-out or other applicable right | Official rights page and support email | Rights depend on the applicable jurisdiction |
| Address another directory | That directory's own request process | A CallApp request does not control another service |
For a broader phone-exposure plan, our guide to removing your phone number from the internet helps separate public listings from nuisance-call blocking. Blocking an incoming caller does not remove your number from a database.
How to unlist your phone number

Open the official unlisting page. The current page contains a phone field and an email field. Enter the full number, including its country prefix, and an inbox you control.
- Confirm that you are requesting action for your own number or are properly authorized.
- Enter the country prefix and number carefully.
- Supply an email address where you can receive the response.
- Use the form's submission button and keep a record of the submission date.
- Watch for the confirmation message and follow its instructions.
The instructional text refers to an Unlist action, but the visible button during our check read Send Message. This label difference is why it is useful to recognize the actual page and fields instead of looking for a button that may have been renamed.
The page says the confirmation email should arrive in the next few days to begin the process. That is not a promise that the number will be fully removed within that same period. We did not observe the post-submission email because no personal number was entered.
If you receive no response, check spam folders and the submitted email spelling. Ask support whether the request was received before starting repeated submissions. Never send a list of relatives' phone numbers in an attempt to make one request cover an entire household.
Account deactivation and deletion are separate tasks
CallApp's account-deactivation help page describes an in-app route through your profile picture, Settings, General, My Account, and Deactivate My Account. It also offers support@callapp.com as an email alternative.
If you still use the app, decide whether you want to give up the associated features before deactivating. A lookup-only concern may be different from wanting to close the account. If you are unsure, describe your objective to support and ask what each action changes.
For a deletion email, identify the phone number and account contact involved, then state the requested action. Ask for confirmation of the outcome and any information retained. Keep the message narrow; the initial request does not need your passwords or an unrelated identity-document collection.
Uninstalling software can stop future collection through that installation, but it is not evidence that older server-side information was erased. After removing the app, retain the deletion correspondence so that you can distinguish stopping use from receiving a substantive response.
What does CallApp say about retained information?
The privacy policy distinguishes lookup suppression from storage. It describes keeping information for up to five years after certain opt-out or unlisting events. For an unlisted name and number, the policy says users cannot search for it during that period, before deletion or anonymization unless reappearance is requested.
The policy also describes possible archival and legal retention. Therefore, do not describe an unlisting acknowledgment as proof of immediate erasure. If that distinction matters to you, request deletion explicitly and ask support to explain any retained category and purpose.
For some requests, CallApp describes identity checks using email and phone, with additional information possible case by case. Follow the actual request-specific instructions. If asked for sensitive material, verify the channel and ask whether a less intrusive matching method is available.
This is an explanation of the provider's published policy, not a guarantee about an individual record or a legal opinion. Keep the policy date and response together if you need to revisit the scope later.
Sale choices and other public sources
The official sale and rights page directs people to support@callapp.com for a sale opt-out and other applicable rights. It also includes the number-unlisting form. State both objectives if you want both actions; do not assume that filling in a visibility form necessarily communicates every privacy preference.
Ask for separate confirmation where the response is ambiguous. For example, a reply saying that a number is no longer searchable does not answer whether a broader deletion request was granted. Likewise, an account-closure response may leave a question about another record unresolved.
CallApp's public removal guidance explains that information can remain available through public resources outside its control. Our CallerSmart opt-out guide and USPhoneBook opt-out guide cover other phone-related services if your investigation identifies them.
Those links are not evidence that either provider has your number. Check the relevant exposure before submitting a request. The opt-out guide hub and broker directory can help you organize confirmed targets.
Recheck the result without creating new exposure
After receiving a final response, review exactly what it confirms. Record the number format, action, date, and any limitation. If the same exposure returns, compare it with that record and ask support whether a new listing or mismatched number is involved.
Avoid posting your number and email on a public forum to prove a failed removal. Send necessary evidence through the provider's legitimate support channel. Keep screenshots of your own record private, and redact unrelated information before sharing them with anyone else.
You can run a free data broker scan for supported public exposures beyond this request. A scan is not a test of all CallApp storage, and a clean result cannot prove that every private database is empty. Check service coverage before relying on automation for a particular request.
Frequently asked questions
Must I install CallApp to request unlisting?
The public form loaded without installation or an account login during our inspection. Start there for a number-visibility request. Do not install the app solely because a third-party guide assumes that is necessary.
Does the confirmation email mean deletion is complete?
Not necessarily. The form describes a confirmation step that begins the process. Read the message and any later response to determine whether the request was verified, processed, or denied.
Can I unlist an old number I no longer control?
Explain the situation to support and ask what verification is possible. Do not represent a reassigned number as currently yours or attempt to use another person's verification messages.
Will this stop spam calls?
Unlisting addresses one source of lookup exposure. It does not prevent spoofed calls, random dialing, or contact from independently maintained lists. Use phone-level blocking tools for immediate nuisance calls while addressing specific data sources separately.
What should a final request log contain?
Keep the submission date, number format, requested actions, verification status, response, and follow-up date. A compact log makes it easier to identify which part remains unresolved without repeatedly sending a full personal history.
