To opt out of Getcontact, use its Privacy Management Centre to manage your profile visibility or request account deletion. If the management controls do not load, the official support form is a usable alternative for a privacy request. Specify whether you want your number unlisted, your account deleted or particular information corrected; these requests have different effects.

On October 13, 2026, the public management page loaded its navigation but no usable controls in our browser. The Report a Problem form did load. The steps below distinguish that observed fallback from options that require your authenticated session.

Getcontact's privacy policy identifies Getverify LDA as the data controller. Its privacy overview says the management centre is available to non-subscribers as well. That statement does not mean every control is visible before authentication.

Start at the official privacy page

Open Manage Your Privacy Profile. Follow the instructions shown for your own number and complete only the verification the official site asks for. Do not use a third-party page that asks to receive your verification code.

If the page offers a visibility setting, read its description carefully. Hiding a profile and permanently deleting an account should not be assumed to have the same scope. Save the confirmation and the effective date shown.

If you only see navigation and a footer, use the official support form below. We could not verify the authenticated buttons or their exact labels during this public inspection. This guide therefore does not invent a click-by-click sequence behind the login boundary.

Use the support form when controls are unavailable

Official public page checked October 13, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

The Report a Problem form is linked by the privacy policy for enquiries and rights requests. It displays email, phone number, country, full name, platform, app version, support type, subject, message and a file attachment option. Web is one of the platform choices; Legal is one of the support categories.

  • Enter a reachable email and the affected number with the correct country context.
  • Select your actual platform and country. Use Web if that accurately describes how you are contacting support; do not invent an app version.
  • Choose the closest relevant support category, such as Legal for a privacy-rights request.
  • State exactly what you want: unlisting, account deletion, correction or review of a particular tag.
  • Describe the management-page problem if it prevented you from completing the request there.
  • Complete any verification presented and save the response or case reference.

The visible form has an attachment control, but that alone does not establish that an identity document is mandatory. Attach only relevant evidence, with unrelated details removed. We inspected the fields without entering personal information or submitting a request.

What should the request say?

A useful message identifies the number, your relationship to it and the result you want changed.

For example: “I control this number and want my profile removed from number lookup. Please explain whether this also deletes my account and what retained information remains. The management page did not display its controls.”

If you want permanent account deletion, say so explicitly. If the issue is one inaccurate comment, identify that comment instead of assuming that deleting the app will remove it. Keep the confirmation email so a follow-up can refer to the original scope.

The phone-number removal guide explains how to track separate caller-ID, directory and people-search records. A request to Getcontact affects its own service, not every database that contains the number.

Verification and the deletion period

Getcontact's privacy policy says it can require identity verification or additional account information. It also describes account deletion within 30 days, while another passage refers to the period displayed in the confirmation popup. Save the actual deadline shown for your request and seek clarification if the two descriptions differ.

The policy says a request to reopen the account during the pending deletion period cancels the original deletion request. Avoid reopening it just to see whether deletion is underway. Ask support how to check progress without withdrawing your request.

A separate policy statement about responding to comment-removal reports within 30 days is not a guarantee that every privacy request has the same scope or schedule. Distinguish a response deadline from the removal of all retained information.

What can remain or reappear?

The policy allows some retention for regulatory requirements and other stated purposes. Public unlisting should not be described as immediate destruction of all account records. Ask for a clear explanation if your concern includes information beyond the visible profile.

Tags and contact information may also exist in other services or privately saved contacts. A new account or a separate source can complicate a later check. Record where the information actually appears before concluding that the same listing returned.

Use CallApp's unlisting instructions or SyncMe's removal route when you find a matching record there. For a separate telephone directory result, CallerSmart's guide covers its own request process.

Confirm removal and address wider exposure

After the provider replies, check the original lookup result and compare it with the requested outcome. If a tag remains, ask whether it was covered by the request. If an account is pending deletion, use the support case rather than signing back in without understanding the effect.

The opt-out guide hub can help you select the next relevant source. Avoid sending a generic deletion request to every service simply because one record exists.

For supported people-search exposure beyond caller-ID apps, run a free privacy scan. It can help organize a broader removal effort, but it is not a receipt or completion check for a Getcontact request.

Before sending, reread the message as a request with one primary outcome. If you want both unlisting and deletion, name both and ask the reply to address each. Record any separate action the provider requires. A case number establishes a support trail, while an explicit completion notice explains what happened to the data.

Frequently asked questions

Can non-subscribers use the privacy centre?

Getcontact's privacy overview says yes. Authentication or ownership verification may still be necessary, and the public page may not expose all controls before that step.

Is hiding a profile the same as deleting an account?

Do not assume that. Ask what the selected action changes and make a separate deletion request if you want the account and eligible data erased.

What if the management page is blank?

Use the official support form and describe the problem. Its visible fields and the privacy policy support that fallback; a blank interface does not prove a request was submitted.

Should I log back in while deletion is pending?

The policy warns that requesting to reopen the account during the deletion period cancels the deletion request. Use support to clarify how to check status without reopening it.

Can I remove a number I no longer control?

Explain the situation to support. This guide cannot establish that you can complete a phone-ownership check for a reassigned number or change another person's information.
