Whoscall Opt Out: Remove Caller ID and Personal Data
Request Whoscall data removal through its official privacy email. Learn verification steps, caller-ID limits, timing and how to check the result.

To opt out of Whoscall, send a privacy request to privacy@gogolook.com or use the Contact Us option on Whoscall's website or app. Identify the phone number and the information you want removed.
Gogolook may verify your identity before acting. Deleting the app does not establish that a caller-ID record or retained data has been erased.
This guide uses Whoscall's official English privacy policy, checked October 13, 2026. It explains the published request route; we did not submit a personal request or measure removal speed.
Whoscall removal at a glance
| Your objective | Appropriate request | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Remove personal information | Email the privacy team with a deletion request | Rights and retention depend on circumstances |
| Fix an incorrect caller name | Identify the wrong entry and ask for correction | Correction is different from deleting an account |
| Stop a particular use | Specify an objection or consent withdrawal | Explain which processing you mean |
| Challenge a response | Reply through the same contact route | Appeal availability depends on applicable law |
Whoscall is a caller-identification and scam-protection service operated by Gogolook. Treat this as a request about that service, rather than a universal opt-out from telephone directories. The opt-out guide hub has separate instructions for other databases.
Prepare a precise request
Start with the number in international format and describe how the problem appears: an incorrect name, unwanted personal information, an account you want deleted, or a specific processing concern. State whether you use Whoscall or only appear in someone else's caller-identification result.
Keep a private screenshot of the relevant result, if you have one. Crop unrelated people's details. You do not need to collect another person's contact list to explain your own issue. A clear description of the affected number and field is more useful than a vague request to remove everything online.
If your main concern is wider exposure, the phone-number removal guide helps separate caller-ID records from people-search pages. Each operator controls its own response.
How to send the manual removal request

- Open the official Whoscall privacy policy and review its data-protection rights section.
- Compose an email to privacy@gogolook.com. Use a subject such as “Whoscall personal data deletion request.”
- Include the affected phone number, country and enough account context to locate your information. State the exact deletion, correction or objection you want assessed.
- Ask for confirmation of the request, any identity-verification steps, and an explanation of information that must remain.
- Save the sent message and any case reference. Follow up in that same thread so the request history stays together.
Alternatively, use the Contact Us function on Whoscall's website or software, which the policy also names. The privacy email is a published route; this guide does not claim that an email alone proves your identity or guarantees deletion.
A useful request can say: “I control the following number. Please review the personal information associated with it and delete the information described below where applicable. If you need verification, please explain the minimum information required and the secure way to provide it.” Replace the description with your actual concern.
What verification should you expect?
Whoscall says it may take extra steps to verify identity before fulfilling a request. The policy does not publish one universal verification checklist for every case. Wait for the provider's instructions instead of attaching a passport or a full phone bill to the first email without a reason.
For an authorized representative, the policy discusses written, signed permission as well as direct identity verification. Being a relative or paying the phone bill does not by itself establish authority to manage every person's data. If you are helping someone, clarify whose number is affected and how they can confirm the request.
A verification exchange is not a completed removal. Keep the case open until the response explains what changed. If the information cannot be matched, check the country code and whether the visible label belongs to a different number or source.
How long does Whoscall removal take?
The policy promises a response in accordance with applicable law and within a reasonable timeframe. It does not give a single fixed deletion deadline for all requests. Do not interpret an automated acknowledgment as confirmation that all copies have been erased.
Whoscall separately describes deleting personal data after more than 12 consecutive months of uninstallation or non-use, subject to its retention terms. That inactivity rule is not a fast opt-out method. Send an explicit request when you need a decision about a current record.
Ask the team to distinguish public visibility, account deletion and retained records. Those are different outcomes and may happen on different schedules. Set a follow-up reminder based on the date in the provider's reply.
What can remain after deletion?
Whoscall describes exceptions for legal obligations, fraud-related information and records needed for disputes. It may also keep contact details on a marketing opt-out list so the preference can be respected. A retained suppression entry is different from continued public display.
Caller information can also appear through another app or an independent directory. A successful Whoscall request does not change those services. If you find the same number elsewhere, use the CallApp guide or SyncMe guide only when that service actually holds a matching record.
Avoid promising that removal will stop all spam calls. Callers may already possess a number, and correcting a caller-ID label does not block incoming calls on your device. For a separate directory listing, the USPhoneBook guide addresses that site's process.
Check the result and plan the next step
After a completion reply, check the same surface where the problem appeared. Record the date and whether the specific name or detail is still visible. If it remains, reply with the existing reference and explain the difference between the promised action and the result you can see.
A later appearance needs its own check: it could be a retained category, a different source or new information. Ask Whoscall to identify the cause before assuming that a request was ignored. Keep evidence private and limited to the affected record.
For broader people-search exposure, run a free privacy scan. That can help prioritize supported broker records; it does not certify Whoscall deletion or replace the direct request described here.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install Whoscall to request deletion?
The published privacy email offers a route outside the app. Explain if you are a non-user and ask how the information associated with your number is handled.
Will uninstalling the app remove an incorrect caller name?
Do not assume that. Uninstallation, account inactivity and correcting a displayed name are different actions. Identify the incorrect label in a direct request.
Does a privacy request remove scam warnings automatically?
The policy allows retention related to fraud and legal needs. Ask for review of inaccurate information and evidence supporting your concern; this guide cannot promise the removal of a safety classification.
What if the provider refuses my request?
Ask for the reason, the retained categories and any available appeal process through the same contact route. Rights depend on applicable law and your circumstances.
Should I pay someone to send the first email?
You can use the published route yourself. A broader service may help with other supported records, but it cannot make a provider's verification and retention requirements disappear.
