To request deletion of Hiya Spam Blocker data, email privacy@hiya.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request,” your phone number and your email address. Hiya's current app help says it will process the request within 30 days. If you only want a caller-ID name removed or corrected, Hiya publishes a separate caller-ID request route.

Choose the route by the problem you need solved. Deleting app-related data, removing a caller label, disputing comments and changing a business number's information are not one identical workflow.

How to request app-data deletion

Hiya current deletion email and requested matching information checked October 13, 2026
Official public page checked October 13, 2026. No personal request or purchase submitted.

The current Hiya Spam Blocker help article, dated June 4, 2026, gives a short email process.

  • Start a new message to privacy@hiya.com and check the spelling of the recipient.
  • Use the subject “Data Deletion Request.”
  • Include your phone number and email address, as requested by the article.
  • Explain that the request concerns your Hiya Spam Blocker personal data. If a visible caller-ID label is also at issue, name that separately.
  • Keep the sent message and any confirmation or case reference.
  • Follow up if the published processing period passes without a clear outcome.

The help page also points to Privacy and data in the app's settings, with slightly different capitalization on iPhone and Android. That section can help you understand collection; simply opening it is not a deletion request.

Do not add an unrequested identity document to the first email. If Hiya needs more information, ask for the minimum evidence and secure submission method. We did not send a message, verify ownership or measure a deletion outcome.

How to remove or correct a caller-ID label

Hiya's Manage My Data page links a dedicated form for changing or removing caller ID. It applies to both individual and business numbers. The page says basic cases receive a response within one to three business days, with most resolved in one business day.

During this check, that help article was readable through an official-page reader, but the support site and ticket form returned an access challenge in the browser. The route is published by Hiya; its current form fields and successful submission were not verified. Open it in your normal browser rather than relying on a fabricated field list.

Identify the exact number and the label you want corrected or removed. A wrong name is different from a spam classification. If your issue is a classification, follow the relevant reporting route from Hiya's support pages and describe the evidence accurately.

The phone-number removal guide can help separate this caller-ID task from removing public directory pages.

Advanced requests and proof of ownership

The Manage My Data page separates advanced requests for individuals from business-number requests. Its advanced options include additional data removal, access, stopping processing and a machine-readable copy. The page directs business callers to the basic forms instead.

For access and portable-copy requests, it expressly describes proof showing the name and phone number together, such as an appropriate bill or account record. Do not assume that every deletion request requires the same document. Follow the instructions for the specific request and redact unrelated details when permitted.

There is also a contact ambiguity: the older page's visible advanced-request email text and its underlying mailto link differ. Prefer its linked advanced form if it opens.

For the current app-data deletion process, the newer help article clearly publishes privacy@hiya.com. Do not mix the two and claim that either one has been tested for every request type.

Samsung Smart Call and other limits

The Manage My Data page says Hiya can no longer update an ID or location on Samsung Smart Call. It says changing a number's registration will remove the ID from that surface. That is a specific platform caveat, not a promise to replace the displayed name everywhere.

Removing caller-ID information does not itself stop a caller from dialing your number. It also does not change a name saved in another person's local contacts. Check which app or service displays the information before deciding that a request failed.

A separate record may require CallApp unlisting, SyncMe removal or CallerSmart removal. Use those guides only for records that actually exist on those services.

Timing, follow-up and reappearance

Keep three dates: when you submitted, when verification was completed if requested, and when the provider said the action was finished. The current app article's 30-day statement and the older basic-case response window describe different routes. Do not choose the shorter number for every privacy request.

After a completion reply, check the original surface again. If the old label remains, reply with the case reference and name the app or device displaying it. Ask whether the request covered that surface or only a different category of data.

A later display could come from a new registration, another database or a locally saved contact. This guide does not establish which explanation applies to your case. Compare the record and source before submitting another request.

Build a broader removal checklist

Use the opt-out guide hub for other confirmed records. Keep account deletion, caller-ID correction and public people-search removal as separate checklist items so an acknowledgment for one is not mistaken for completion of all three.

If you want to identify supported people-search exposure, start a free privacy scan. That can guide additional work; it does not confirm a Hiya request or guarantee the disappearance of every telephone label.

Keep the request category in your notes alongside the case number. For example, a reply about removing an app account should not close a separate task about a caller-ID label. If support redirects you to another form, preserve the earlier correspondence and ask whether the new form starts a separate request or continues the existing case.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send the deletion email without the app?

The current help article publishes an email route. Include the phone number and email address requested and explain which Hiya data concerns you.

Is uninstalling Hiya enough?

The deletion article gives an explicit request process. Do not treat removing the app from your device as evidence that Hiya erased provider-side data.

Are business numbers covered by the advanced individual process?

No. The Manage My Data page directs business-number requests to its basic forms. Choose the route that matches the number and problem.

Does the one-day statement guarantee removal tomorrow?

No. It describes most basic cases on an older support page, alongside a one-to-three-business-day response window. The current app deletion article separately says within 30 days.

What if the support form is blocked?

Try the official route in your own browser. For app-data deletion, the current privacy@hiya.com instructions remain a verified alternative. Do not infer that an access challenge means a request was received.
